Are we bold in the Lord, if so, where do we get our boldness from?

We as believers and followers of our Lord Jesus Christ, are to be bold.  It is not our natural boldness, it is the boldness of the Holy Spirit within us. I recently heard a person on Christian TV say, that they just don't have boldness to witness to someone, that God has only called them to teach. Wrong! We are all called to witness about our Lord, whenever the Holy Spirit points out a person to us. For us to say we just can't do that, something is amiss.  There is growth needed in that area. You can at least sow the seeds of life into someone's  heart.  According to the word of God, we all have the boldness of Christ , that is one thing we did receive, when we received Jesus. Ephesians 3: 8-13 (Paul speaking) To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ Jesus, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, ...

If it doesn't come from a heart of love, it is not of God.

When we hear people say, he will reap what he sowed, about one struggling with sin. That statement is not coming from a heart of love,  or compassion or mercy. When we judge others, we are setting ourselves up for a trial, facing the very thing that we are judging another for. Matthew 7:15 "Judge not, that you be not judged.  For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.   "And why do you look at the speck in your brothers eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, "Let me remove the speck from your eye; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Jesus said, you are not seeing clearly with that plank in your eye. Be careful of what spirit you are of. We do reap what we sow, if we sow in tears we will reap joy later on. If we sow the word of God in someone's life, we will reap a harvest of peace for them. If we sow negative words about a f...

The soil of our heart must be fertile, in order to produce a harvest.

Good healthy soil has been tilled, weeded, watered and fertilized. God has the Holy Spirit break up clods, He also does the weeding. We need to break up our fallow ground.  That is ground that was once useful, but now through lack of care has gotten hardened, and dry full of clods and now is no longer useful. It is time to break up that ground that once was fertile and useful.  We tend to get complacent, use to the same routine, day after day, so we set out to amuse ourselves. Take our eyes off of the important things for our day. Hosea 10:12  Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap mercy; Break up your fallow ground , for it is time to seek the Lord until He comes to rain righteousness on you. Signs of fallow ground. A Lack of interest for the things of God. A Lack of prayer and praises to our God. A Lack of love for those hurting. A Lack of a desire to get into God's word and let Him speak to you. A Lack  desiring fellowship with other believe...

The worse sin that there is, is unbelief.

Unbelief grieves the heart of God more than any other sin.  Unbelief is to doubt God's word and His faithfulness, and who He is! Where does unbelief come from? It comes when we choose to believe the lies of the enemy instead of believing God. That seed is sown in our mind and we choose to act upon it, speaking unbelief with our mouth. We will give it life. We convince ourselves that God would do this for so and so, but not for me. We entertain the thoughts of unbelief and soon that is all we think about, it starts us down a negative dark path, where there is no hope or faith. Unbelief and their consequences. God had to shut the mouth of Zechariah, John the Baptist father, so that he could not speak unbelief. Luke 1:20 (Angel of the Lord speaking to Zechariah in the temple when Zechariah refuse to believe, that his wife would become pregnant) "But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my wor...

A heart that is overwhelmed with sorrow, will experience joy from the Lord for tomorrow.

We can all look back at times we were full of sorrow, yet as time passed God replaced that sorrow with His joy for our tomorrows. Jesus said that He carried our grief's and sorrows. The word there for grief (sicknesses) He carried them for us on His back, the stripes that He took, and He carried all our diseases and sin on that cross. When sorrow hits us, we can look back at the faithfulness of God, and say, it is well with my soul. Psalm 61: 1-2 Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer.  From the end of the earth I will cry to You,  when my heart is overwhelmed, Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. (That Rock is Jesus) Psalm 16:7-8 I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;  My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.  I have set the Lord always before me; because He is my right hand I shall not be moved. The night seasons are those times of dark sorrow. Jesus is there with us . He is the light in those dark times. Psalm 77:10-14 ...

As believers, we will never meet a stranger, they are divine appointments.

Don't you just love how the Lord puts certain people in your life, either for you to minister to, or for them to bring you further along in your faith. These are divine appointments. Recently I had a lady call me and said my phone number appeared on her phone.  I said must be a wrong number, that I don't have her number and didn't call her. I hung up and the Holy Spirit impressed me to call her back,  I asked her name and we shared Jesus.   Well it turned out she is a believer and attends the very church that the Lord has placed on my heart, each time I drive by it. She must be the reason,  we shared how this must be a divine appointment from the Lord. I love how the Lord directs our steps. We will be fellowshipping with each other I am sure. Jesus wants us to know one another. The angels have been busy on our behalf. I love how the Lord sets up different people in our life.  He connects us to bless each other. After all we are one body. Never limi...

The battle is the Lord's, He told us to trust in Him and rest.

I hear so much about how we must fight our battles, beloved, Jesus is fighting our battles, He said His yolk is easy and His burden light. We pray, yes, but we do not give the enemy of our soul so much credit. JESUS IS LORD! Sometimes our worse enemy is our own mind.  We believe people's teaching about warfare, because we think we need to add to the word of God.   Not so, God's word stands forever and is complete. Psalm 103:20 Bless the Lord, you His angels , who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His please.  Bless the Lord, all His works, in all places of His dominion.  Bless the Lord, O my soul! You see beloved, when the angels of God hear the word of God coming from us, they go into action, the fight is the Lord's, it is up to us to know who we are in Christ and to be filled with the word of God, so that it will come forth from our mouth. Let's l...

Impatience is a breeding ground for the idol worship of self.

When we feel God is not moving fast enough in a given situation, we go ahead and take matters in our own hands. We will push and pull to make things happen sooner. The problem with that is, that we push ourselves into trouble. Opening a door for frustration. When we start believing, "oh I can fix this, we begin to worship self, the big I , gets in the way of God's timing  and His purpose and His plan for our situation. Impatience, will lead us to depend on ourselves, rather than to depend on the Lord.   We have a spiritual thermometer inside of us, we will start to feel uneasy in our soul when we do not wait on the Lord. Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart;  Wait I say, on the Lord! Do you want victorious living?  Then learn to wait on the Lord.  He is always working on our behalf, trust Him and have faith to know, His love will carry us through. The children of Israel were impatient with Moses a...

Life is fragile, handle with prayer, prayer changes things, God changes people.

Before reacting to a slight, or unkind word, pause and think about it, then take it to prayer. Never answer a nasty remark, with another nasty remark. Don't allow your flesh an opening to make matters worse. Giving the enemy an entrance in the matter. Once unkind words are said there is no way to bring them back.  All we can do is forgive and move on. Sometimes we have a need to forgive ourselves as well as others. When we feel like giving someone a piece of our mind, make certain that it comes from the mind of Christ within you. Not your natural mind. If we believe that we have the mind of Christ, then what comes from our mind and out of our mouth will be edifying and build up instead of tearing down. Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likenes...

Those storms in our life will make our faith roots stronger.

When certain types trees are hit with hard winds it will cause their roots to go down deeper. You see this with palm trees in the islands. Then when the next storm comes and the winds are fierce and blowing harder than before, the tree will stand because its root system is stronger. It is the same with us believers in Jesus, when we are hit with a storm in our life and come through, our roots of faith have gone down deeper. We find that we can withstand more than before, and we have learned to speak to the storms in our life. Jesus said, speak to your mountain, He didn't say pray about it, He wanted us to learn to take the authority that He has given to us as His children, as we now belong to His kingdom. Isaiah 25:4 For you have been a strength to the poor, A strength to the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, A shade from the heat; For the blast of the terrible ones is a storm against a wall. Psalm 107:29-30 (Jesus did this in the new testament) He c...

The enemy is not smart, persecution of the church will only cause it to grow.

When persecution is aimed at the church, it will only cause it to grow and flourish. Persecute means: to put to flight, and drive away or drive out. 2Timothy 3:12-14 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, The enemy thinks by persecuting the church that we will back off.  Wrong, when the church is persecuted we are empowered to grow. Tenacious faith will arise. Paul and the other disciples gave their all, so that we can have what we have today. The more the church was persecuted, the more it grew. Like with us, the pain and disappointment and hurt that we encounter, the more we will grow from it all. Pain reminds us that something is not right.  Disappointment reminds us that we live in a fallen world.  Hurt feeling...

All scripture is God breathed, as we read it, it pours life and light into us.

The bible does not just contain the word of God, it is the word of God.  Our life's manual, it will tell us how to live on this earth in our new faith, when trusting Jesus as our  Savior and Lord. God breathed,  this is the product of God's creative breath. As we read God's word His very breath is on that word. Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;  It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. It will bear life! 2Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, (Teaching) for reproof, ( proving, a test or rebuke, to expose hidden sin) for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete (mature), thoroughly equipped for every good work. Do feel like you are fully equipped for the work that God has called you to do? As believers, we all have an assignment w...

Forgiving is setting a captive free, could it be you?

If we have a unforgiving heart, we will keep ourselves in bondage. It most likely will not effect the one you have not forgiven, but it will eat you up inside and cause you to become sick. When we pray for those that hurt us, we are beginning to get the picture of being free from the bondage, it is the way God softens our heart.  Prayer! Each time we pray for others that are causing an unrest in our spirit, we are setting ourselves, free. In turn, you are releasing them in the spirit realm where the enemy has had a hold. The enemy sets up circumstances to trap us, do not fall into his trap. You cannot forgive in the natural, it will take you asking the Holy Spirit to help you forgive. Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, " I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. Endless. Hebrews 12:12-15 Therefore stren...

The reinventing the Jesus of the bible.

Religious cults have done this for years, but I never would have believed that we would live to see some of the churches doing the same, as the cults do. Change the person of Jesus to suit their styles and desires and tolerances, and political correctness. We are watching the great falling away. Jesus never compromised God's word to appease the masses of people. He spoke the truth to them. Truth that would drive the darkness from their mind. He gave them light in order to see the truth. Adrian Rogers, Billy Graham, David Wilkerson, all saw this coming and warned us years ago. Jude warned believers about the counterfeit believers, they sound real and sincere but, are not of the same spirit as the true believer's in Jesus Christ were. Jude 1:12 These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves.  They are clouds without water, carried about by winds;  late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by ...

Everything we do outside of the will of God will leave a mark.

Praise God, the blood of Jesus is the eraser.  There is such great power in the blood of Jesus. As believers we should fully understand the power of the blood of Jesus in our life. That blood has been applied to the door of our heart. As with the children of Israel, when the death angel shall see the blood, he will pass over you. That spirit of death and destruction has no power over us anymore, because we have the blood of Jesus on the door of our heart. Revelation 1:4 Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was, and who is to come, from the seven spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.  To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood , and made us (it's already a fact) kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever, Amen. Ephesians 2:4-7 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with wh...

Do we know what to pray for in our life and in the lives of others?

Prayer is simply talking to God.  He already knows our needs, but, He loves to have His children come to Him and ask.  Or to intercede for someone else. Jesus gave us the Lord's prayer  (Matthew 6:5-14) Read it for yourselves. Paul gave us great examples of what we should pray for ourselves and others. Colossians 1:3-14 (Paul's prayer) We give thanks to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints; For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you , and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;   that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might , according to His glorious power for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the F...

Are you watching things and listening to things that disturb your soul?

The media is so full of things that cause a disturbance in our emotions. Anyone can get caught up in the emotional trap set by the enemy with the media. We have to live in this world, and know the latest news so that we know what we should be praying about. But, whatever you do, do not dwell on it, some is real and some are lies, and distortions. Psalm 101:2-4 I will behave wisely in a perfect way.  Oh, when will you come to me?  I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.  I will set nothing wicked before my eyes;   I hate the work of those who fall away;  it shall not cling to me.  A perverse heart shall depart from me;  I will not know wickedness. As you can see, by watching, and listening to the wrong things, it will cause a falling away.  It can put your emotions out of control. Pray for those that allow their emotions to rule them with hate and anger, they are in the enemies grasp, and don't realize it. Roma...

Freedom does not depend on where you are, but, what and who's you are.

We can be in a shack, or a luxurious home, the place does not matter, it is our heart condition that counts, have we received Jesus? If you carry in your heart, a greedy spirit, prejudice, or a critical spirit, you are not free. True freedom comes when you yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and follow Jesus. It doesn't matter what we have or don't have, it is who lives in our heart that makes the difference. Jesus is God who came to us in the flesh. 1Timothy 3:16 For without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory. John 8: 31-32 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him. "If you abide in My word, you are my disciples indeed.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," We must know the truth, it is the knowing of the truth that sets us free. The truth of who Jesus really ...

Be careful what you do and how you act in the world, you may be the only bible someone will read.

It is not wise to go with the crowd and compromise your faith, people are watching those of us that say we are Christians. We are under a microscope. It is better to stand your ground and stay faithful, even if it means you will not be included by the crowd that follows the world. 2Timothy 4:9-11 Be diligent to come to me quickly; for Demas has forsaken me , having loved this present world , and has departed for Thessalonica-Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia. Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry. Paul went through the very thing I am writing about. Some of those Jesus was teaching, forsook Jesus for the world. Those same people who reject you, will come running to you when they are in trouble. I have seen and experienced this many times. There is no need for to you compromise just so that you can fit in the group. Be happy with the fact that you don't fit in.  Stay faithful to Jesus and His word. ...

To know Jesus, is to be intimately acquainted with Him.

To be intimately acquainted with Jesus means that you spend quality time in His presence. You know Him well, He is the main part of your life.  He comes first. We are so connected to Him, we have an intimate relationship with Him. He breathes life into us, and we worship and praise Him. We are His bride, we love Him. Knowing about Jesus is fascinating, but to know Him personally, intimately, is life changing. Mary Magdalene, knew this truth, that's why she was at the tomb, after the resurrection, her heart was connected to Jesus, He had delivered her and saved her soul. Life changing for her. Jeremiah 31:34 "No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying know the Lord, for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord, For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." Why will no one have to tell their neighbor anymore.?  Because the earth will be full of His gl...

Natural mindset and actions, or spiritual mindset and actions?

If we only think with our carnal mind, our actions will follow, we will move in our flesh.  If we think spiritually, we will hear the Spirit and follow Him to receive Godly results, that are in His word. Romans 8:6-10 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh (that old sinful nature) cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.  Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, He is not His.  And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Oh, that is good news .  We are the righteousness of Christ! 1Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God , that we might know the things that hav...

Love begins, when judgment ends

It is so easy to judge those that we think do not measure up to the standards we believe they should adhere to. We are not God.   He will take the time that He needs too, with His children.  We are to love and not judge. After all, God was patient with us, right? Everyone one of us, have messed up along the way, or should I say during our walk in the Lord. Training to be a disciple will take some time, and  we were given that time,  we were given space and time as needed,  then we also should extend that courtesy to others. John 15:17 (Jesus speaking) These things I command you, that you love one another. Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor, therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. 1Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love. When we have a tendency to be judgmental, we should take a look back and remember from where we came from. People who are judgmenta...

Take your fight with the enemy from the earthly realm, to the heavenly realm.

Just like the eagles, when we encounter a snake (our enemy) we take our fight to the heavens, where we have the advantage. When the eagles encounter a snake they take him out of his environment, they pull him up into the sky where cannot win. Should we learn a great lesson from the eagles? We need to take our fight to the heavens  and not try to handle things ourselves. Pulling the enemy out of his place on the earth, where he roams seeking whom he may devour, will cause him to be at a disadvantage. Take your fight to the Lord, high and lifted up. (Prayer) Exodus 19:4 You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles wings and brought you to myself. Isaiah 40:31. But they that wait upon the Lord Shall renew their strength;  They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Mount up your wings Beloved, take your fight to the Lord . You cannot win with your natural...
