THE SIMPLICITY THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS.

We hear so many different things about our faith today.   People have much to say and sometimes they use big words that the average unlearned person has to ask, "what does that mean"? 2Corinthians 11:2-3 For I am jealous for you with Godly jealousy.  For I have betrothed you to one husband,  that I may present you as a chased virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the SIMPLICITY that is in Christ. Some religious people are doing their best to make following Jesus a difficult thing. Just like the Pharisees of Jesus day. We are told by Jesus that we are to believe Him and His words. These things are our works. Simple. John 6:28-29 Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said, This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent." Simple. Jesus made it clear to us that the gospel is good news that He provides.

FERTILIZER AND THE WATER OF THE WORD WORKING TOGETHER.

We all need a little manure in our life so that the water of the word will cause us to reach up to God.  The manure is a reminder to repent from hidden sin. 2Timothy   3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God,  and is profitable for doctrine,  for reproof,  for correction, for instruction in righteousness,  that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. I love this scripture because it is a reminder that all of God's word is God breathed.  As we read it, it will restore our thinking to the way the Holy Spirit would have us to think. Having the mind of Christ. Recently dried up plants were placed in soil, they were fertilized and watered. The next morning those plants were reaching up,  their leaves look healthy and in the spring they will produce beautiful flowers. This reminded me of this scripture. 1 Corinthians 3:6-9 I planted,  Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.  So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters,  b

iT IS A GOOD TIME TO EXAMINE OUR INTENTIONS AND MOTIVES.

As we watch fall set in, we see the trees colors change and the leaves starting to fall. Let that be our reminder to check our hearts motives and intentions. Have you been boasting about your work or service or ministry? It is all the work of the Holy Spirit working in your life to bring glory to God. Beloved, this is a type of pride that sneaks up on us. It is our human nature to sound good and look good or we wouldn't bother to comb our hair or pick out our clothes. We have this treasure in earthen vessels, right? 2Corinthians 4:7 We have this treasure in earthen vessels,  that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. It is good for us to evaluate why we do certain things.  Not looking for the negative things, but helpful things that will cause us to reflect and see our motives. Are the things you do bringing glory to God or to you?  Are you pointing to Jesus, or your good works? Make sure that your good intentions are to lift up the Lord Jesus and the work of t

TRUSTING GOD IN EVERYTHING ON OUR JOURNEY OF FAITH.

Father God has everything planned that is in our life. Everything that we will encounter He has already made provision for. All the people that Jesus has placed in our life, He has made a way where there seems to be no way for them.  His way is healing and wholeness, lots of love and sharing how much Jesus loves us. No matter what is going on around us, we have unseen angels with us. Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written,  The days fashioned for me , when as yet there were none of them. Beloved, think about this scripture the next time you start to wonder what and how will you get through this trial or test. The testing of our faith will cause us to grow and mature in Christ Jesus our Lord. James 1:2 My Brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing your faith, produces patience,  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. There are
