Thought For The Day

Science and God's word agree on truth of our survival. Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations. Science claims that we need 4 basic elements in order for us to survive. Water, Air, Food, and Light. We find in God's word that Jesus has all these elements. WATER John 7:37-38 On the last great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying," If   anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart  will flow rivers of living water. We must have the living water of Jesus to survive on this earth. The next element science says we need is air. AIR TO BREATHE. The Holy Spirit is our breath of fresh air. God gives us the very air we breath.  He is the air we breath. Acts 17:24-25 God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshipped with men's hands,

  God did not leave us orphans, He provided all we need to complete our walk with Him and to walk in His wisdom. The children of Israel while in the wilderness had a cloud by day and a fire by night over the tabernacle to give them the presence of God and direction. Numbers 9:15-17 Now on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; from evening until morning it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire. So it was always: the cloud covered by day, and the appearance of fire by night. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey;  and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents. The children of Israel had to wait on God to see where they would go next.  They could not be impulsive and allow their emotions to lead them. Beloved, God has a way to make us lay down in green pastures. (notice that He makes us) He is our Shepherd and He is the one in control. Here are some things to think about. The Latin root word for  quarantine is "Forty" The flood lasted forty days. For forty years Moses fled Egypt. For forty days Moses stayed on Mt. Sinai. Received the law. Jesus fasted forty days. Matthew 4:2-4 And when Jesus had fasted forty days and forty nights , afterward He was hungry.  Now the tempter came to Him, he said "if you are the Son of God, command that these stones turn to bread." But He answered and said "It is written Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Notice that Satan did not come until Jesus was hungry. (Think on this a moment) The number forty represents change.    It is a time to prepare people, or a person for change.  Time for fundamental change. Have we seen a fundamental change since the quarantine?  Oh

What are your thoughts about God's faithfulness? Why do you keep holding onto what God has said in His word, that He will carry   ? When we read in God's word that our sins are remembered no more, why do we allow the enemy to replay those scenes in our mind? Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. I hear people say, I am still struggling with that thing or thought. Beloved we are not to struggle, when we are yoked together with Jesus, He does the leading we follow. Side by side. No struggle. People that are allowing their emotions to cause them to struggle, they need to LET GO AND LET GOD!!!! When we tend to hold onto that which the Lord said He will carry for us, we negate our faith and trust, by doing that we drag ourselves down emotionally. Take a deep breat
