TRUSTING GOD MORE, THAN WE DID BEFORE.

When we look back where we thought we were trusting the Lord, we can see where we got impatient and tried to handle things ourselves, only to end up doing and saying the wrong things, outside of God's timing. We all need to learn just what it means to surrender and trust the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones. Psalm 37:3-6 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and f eed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. We need to put our life on the line. Peter had to trust Jesus to walk on the water, but, as soon as he ...

NEW SPRING TIME, NEW LIFE IS BUDDING IN OUR PLANTS AND IN OUR HEARTS.

Our cold winter is over, things that we did to stay warm, are changed to now stay cool. Thank God for a new spring time. Thank Him for all the new life springing up. Thank Him for the beautiful colors that He gave us to enjoy. Once what looked dead now has resurrected life. As we think about our Lord Jesus and His crucifixion. We think about His body being placed in a borrowed tomb. meaning it will returned to the owner. Remember Jesus's words. "In 3 days I will raise this temple. John 10:17-18. "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I might take it again. John 2:18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, "What sign do you show us, since you do these things" Jesus answered and said to them "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up" Some of the disciples remembered His words, when others didn't until He was raised from the dead. So who raised Jesus from the dead? Galatians 1:1 Paul, an apostle (not from man, b...

CAN WE PERSUADE ANYONE TO RECEIVE JESUS?

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Wrong!  You can salt his oats and he will drink.  We are the salt of the earth, but only the Holy Spirit can persuade anyone to receive Jesus. John 6:44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day, Jesus made that clear, no one comes to Him unless the Father draws them. Mark 9:49-50 "For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves and have peace with one another. Human effort will fail, because only the compelling force of the Holy Spirit, will draw people to repentance, that will lead them to Jesus our Lord. God offers His gift of grace, but doesn't force anyone to accept it.  It takes the Holy Spirit to convince someone to receive salvation through the blood of Jesus.  When their hearts are ready, and they sens...

WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE SINKING, LOOK FOR GOD'S LOVING HAND.

When you find yourself in a trial that looks like it will destroy you, Praise God! as more of your control is broken and self is going to die.  Like when Peter began to sink, yet God's loving hand was there to pull him up. More of Jesus is being transformed in you.   That's when God is leading to a place that will cause you to be more fruitful. Acts 28:-8-10 (When Paul ended up  at the Island of Malta, when their ship broke up.) In the region there was an estate of the leading citizen of the Island, whose name was Publius, who received us and entertained us courteously for 3 days. And it happened that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery. Paul went in to him and prayed, and he laid hands on him and healed him. So when this was done, the rest of those on the Island who had diseases also came and were healed. They also honored us in many ways; and  when we departed, they provided such things as were necessary. Beloved, you see that what looked like t...

THE WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE IS WHERE WE LEARN TO DEPEND ON THE LORD.

When Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, He depended on the word of God. Matthew 4:3-11 Now the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God,(HE TRIED TO PLACE DOUBT IN JESUS MIND) command these stones become bread. (He dealt with the Lords natural hunger) But He answered and said, "It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Then he took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down, for it is written, (From Psalms 91:11, notice the devil misquoted Gods word, and left out "to keep You in all your ways)  "He will give His angels charge over you. and, "In their hands their they  shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. Jesus said to to him "It is written again, "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." Again, the devil took Him up to an exceedingly high moun...

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT HERE TO MAGNIFY HIMSELF, HE IS HERE TO LIFT UP JESUS.

Some of what we have seen through the years was not the Holy Spirit. We have seen a lot of entertainment   to lift up others, to draw attention to themselves, not Jesus. Luke 11:13 If you then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! If you are new in the faith, Have you asked the Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Every believer is already baptized in the Holy Spirit. But they need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. John 14:25-26 "These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. "But the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Beloved that is the work of the Holy Spirit. to lift up Jesus. Some of the unusual actions we have seen were attributed to the Holy Spirit, was flesh on parade.  Lifting up themselves, to make a name for themselves. I pray they have re...

BEING AT THE RIGHT PLACE, AT THE RIGHT TIME, WILL BEAR FRUIT.

When you leave the house, do you pray to be at the right place at the right time?   The Holy Spirit wants to lead us to where we will be used of God. He places people in our path to share about Jesus with, as the gospel is the good news people are waiting to hear. Mark 16:15-16 "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. I have had this happen so many times. either the timing that I intended to go to the store was delayed, only to find out later that the person I was to share Jesus with, had just come to work, it was his first day. I love how the Holy Spirit works. Is there a time when the Holy Spirit will not allow you to preach the gospel? Yes. God's timing is everything. Paul was forbidden to preach in Asia, Bithynia. Acts 16:6-7 Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in A...
