READY OR NOT, HERE COMES JESUS!

ARE YOU READY FOR JESUS TO COME?  WE SHOULD BE READY DAILY, BECAUSE HE SAID HE WILL COME IN AN HOUR YOU THINK NOT. Matthew 25:13 "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled;  you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions;  If it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go to prepare a place for you,  I will come again and receive you to Myself;  that where I am, there you may be also. There are those who have one foot in the world and one foot in the Lord.  Take the foot in the world and put it into Jesus. Like the children of Israel, they wanted to return to Egypt.  A little of the world and some of God's help. Jesus should be the object of our affection.  He is Lord, Savor and King. Though He came in the likeness of man,  He is and was still God in the flesh. It is all about Jesus,  who He is, and what He

IS POSITIVE THINKING, HAVING FAITH?

ARE YOU HAVING FAITH IN YOUR FAITH, OR ARE YOU HAVING FAITH IN GOD? POSITIVE THINKING IS NOT FAITH IN GOD, BUT IN YOURSELF. POSITIVE THINKING CAN BE BENIFICIAL TO HELP IN AVOIDING WORRY, FEAR , AND DOUBT,  OF BEING HOPEFUL AND AVOIDING BECOMING CRITICAL OF OTHERS. FAR BETTER TO QUOTE THE WORD OF GOD AND SEE RESULTS AS THE POWER OF GOD'S WORD IS ACTIVE AND SHARPER THAN ANY TWO-EDGED SWORD. Philippians 4:8 Finally brethren, whatever things true (God's word is true) whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, what ever things are lovely, whatever things are of a good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things. In the verses above we are told not to be anxious, also to guard our heart and be thankful. (Philippians 4-7)  If you have Christ Jesus living in you, then you do have the mind of Christ. We don't conjure up faith, it comes by hearing the word of God.   Notice, faith comes, it is mo

PURGING OUT THINGS WE NO LONGER NEED. BOTH NATURAL AND SPIRITUAL

We all have them in our life, things no longer needed or used. The same is true in our spiritual life.  things we thought we had to have, but since more light from God's word has come into our life and spiritual growth has taken place, we can now let go of unnecessary things that bog us down. Things that hold us in bondage.  Old memories of past hurts or slights, LET THEM GO! Behind them is distress in your soul. Forgive others and forgive yourself.  If you are in Christ all old things are passed away, all things are becoming new. Like the blind man who tossed away his blind garment, when Jesus called him.  That was saying after a touch from Jesus, I will not need this anymore. Mark 10:46-52 Now they came to Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Then they warned him to be quiet

BEING LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND NOT YOUR NATUAL SENSES.

DON'T BE LED BY YOUR NATURAL SENSES, BUT INSTEAD BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. Recently I encountered a situation when I heard the Holy Spirit tell me to go visit someone. My natural senses said you can do that later, but the Holy Spirit said, no! go now . 1Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Is your Spirit in tune with the Holy Spirit? Beloved, listen to the Holy Spirit, not your natural mind.  Our natural mind will lead us astray. That is why we are told in God's word to renew our mind. We pick up all kinds of thoughts from living in this world. The enemy will try to miss-direct you when God is trying to bring blessing to His children. There are times when it seems inconvenient for you, but to be on God's time clock will bring blessing.   I found out later that the home I went to had been praying for a certain thing, and I had th

ARE YOU LIVING IN CONDEMNATION FOR THINGS JESUS BLOOD HAS WASHED AWAY?

SELF CONDEMNATION is so debilitating. Romans 8:1 There is therefore NOW no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk after the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:5-6 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh,  but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. (When we condemn ourselves, we are walking after the flesh) For to be carnally minded is death,  but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. The enemy of our soul, be it self or the devil, produces feelings that you aren't as good and accepted as others.  This is a lie! God loves all His children the same. Self-condemnation, causes sickness and dis-ease. It robs you of the joy of your salvation. It is the root of distress and feeling like you will never measure up. Too much focus on self causes depression. The enemies tactic is to keep us from enjoying all Jesus has done for us and in us. Beloved, Jesus paid for all your sins,
