Are you watching things and listening to things that disturb your soul?

The media is so full of things that cause a disturbance in our emotions. Anyone can get caught up in the emotional trap set by the enemy with the media.

We have to live in this world, and know the latest news so that we know what we should be praying about.
But, whatever you do, do not dwell on it, some is real and some are lies, and distortions.

Psalm 101:2-4
I will behave wisely in a perfect way.  Oh, when will you come to me?  I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.  I will set nothing wicked before my eyes;  I hate the work of those who fall away;  it shall not cling to me.  A perverse heart shall depart from me;  I will not know wickedness.

As you can see, by watching, and listening to the wrong things, it will cause a falling away.  It can put your emotions out of control.

Pray for those that allow their emotions to rule them with hate and anger, they are in the enemies grasp, and don't realize it.

Romans 13:13-14
Let us walk properly as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.
But, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Some of those lusts are for things, we see on TV, or computer. Things we really have no need for, but the worlds lust for things are choking out the word of God, that says we are to be content.

Beloved, don't watch or listen to things that cause your emotions to be disturbed.
I say this, because, I wanted to catch up on the news, and heard things that really messed with my emotions for a moment.  I turned it off.

Immediately Psalm 101 came to mind.

We need to hide the word in our heart.

Psalm 119:11
Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

We don't need to put the worlds opinions into our spirit, we need to fill our heart and mind with God's word, and pray!

Let His word wash out all that you saw and heard that were not good for you,  things that caused your mind to feed your flesh.
Getting caught up on all the media junk, can take your focus off of Jesus and onto the world.

We know there is a great falling away, the enemy has but a short time, to make us believe his deceptive lies. Be careful of subliminal messages, that they deliver to us with soft music in the background.

I noticed this with infomercials, I had a desire to buy the thing they were showing, as soon as I muted the TV, the desire left.

We need to ask God for wisdom in all we say and do.

Jesus said, we are to rejoice when we see these things happening, because our redemption draws near.

JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us. God's word is a light unto our path.  Psalms 119:104-105 Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
