Thought For The Day

  It all started when Elimelech left Bethlehem, and traveled to Moab because of the famine.  (Moab is our modern day Jordan) He and his two sons and Naomi his wife. Their sons names were named, Mahlon, and Chilion. Those names mean, sickly and wasting away.  They and their father died in Moab. And were buried there. The sons had wives from Moab named Orpah, and Ruth.  Of whom Naomi had taught them about the God of the Jews, her Hebrew God. (God had a plan) Ruth 1:4 Now they took wives of the women of Moab; Orpah and Ruth they dwelt there about 10 years. Naomi heard that God had visited His people and provided bread.  So Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem. Orpah went back to her people but Ruth would not leave Naomi. Ruth 1:16-17 "Entreat me not to leave you or to turn back from following after you;  For wherever you go, I will go;  and wherever you lodge I will lodge:  Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. T

The only love that is self-less and has nothing attached to it, is Divine love, Agape love. The greatest example   of Divine love is that Jesus left heaven and came to earth to be a human and suffer in our place to redeem us back to the Father. John 3;16-17 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn  the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. A selfless love that is willing to yield to a need, forgetting our own needs and wants and desires. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love suffers long and is kind;  love does not envy;  love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;  does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked,  thinks no evil.  does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth;  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Real love, Divine love in us,  knows how to

   We can wear ourselves out trying to figure everything out that is happening around us. Beloved, we need to have God's wisdom.  We have it in Jesus. God's wisdom and humility are linked together. Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes shame:  But with the humble is wisdom. No one can be wise without being humble.  They go hand and hand. Linked together. A humble person is willing to ask for help when needed.  And we all do need help from time to time. A person full of God's wisdom knows and understands that there is so much more to learn and grow by.   Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and  in favor with God and men. We are no different, we also must grow in wisdom.   It is a process every believer must go through in order to grow in our faith in Jesus. We must learn and know the difference between worldly wisdom and knowledge, and spiritual wisdom from God. BIG DIFFERENCE! Spiritual wisdom comes from the Holy Spirit. As we read God's word, we g

  Why is not believing in God's faithfulness a crime? Because it robs us of the many blessings that God has for us.    It is lack of faith, lack of trust in all God has said in His word.  He is faithful!! Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him,  for he who comes to God must believe that He is,  and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God loves and cares about every detail of our life. God Himself providing a gift of faith through His grace that we have received when we came to Him for salvation.
