WE ARE TO BE WISE IN WHAT IS GOOD, AND SIMPLE IN WHAT IS EVIL.

For us to be wise in what is good, we must first find out in the word of God what is good to God. Romans 16:17-19 Now I urge you brethren, note those who cause divisions and offences, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are of such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. For your obedience has become known to all.  Therefore I am glad on your behalf, but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. To be wise concerning evil, we must use the wisdom God has given us.  We are to see things as God sees them. That is true wisdom. There are those who spend a lot of their time giving Satan the attention he wants. I went to a church once that began their service by binding the devil before they had prayed to God and worshipped the Lord. They were upset because their speakers plane had been delayed at the airport. I was very upset, got up went

NEVER LIMIT GOD ON HOW HE CHOOSES TO WIN THE LOST, PERSONAL SUFFERING MAY BE INVOLVED.

Will God use a slave girl with a spirit of divination to further His plan?  Oh yes, because God will use anything and anyone that He pleases, and allow suffering in the process. As I was rereading one of my favorite chapters in the book of Acts, chapter 16, I asked the Holy Spirit to show me the hidden truth in this chapter. I see that Paul while in Philippi, as he was sharing the gospel that he allowed a slave girl with a spirit of divination to proclaim for many days that "these men are from the Most high God and proclaim the way of salvation". Acts 16:17-18 This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out saying,  "These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation." and this she did many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed turned and said to the spirit,  "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her"  and it came out that very hour. Beloved, why did Paul allow that for many days. She was well known in that t

WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE TO THE LORD FOR THOSE WHO BELONG TO HIM?

In our society of the mixture of the world and church there can be confusion of what is permissible for those who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ our Lord. What does God expect from His called out ones? Luke 16:15 And He said to them " You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts.  For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of the Lord." Are we willing to go through persecution, or be called unkind names, like legalist, or extremists? Jesus said for us to GO! Because you have chosen to go all the way with the Lord to a crucified life, you will suffer at times. Through the suffering you will learn the faithfulness of God. Matthew 5:10-12 Blessed are those when they revile and persecute you, say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.  Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for your reward is in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you Jesus told us to go to the highways and byways and co

ARE YOU BEARING FRUIT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD? THEN EXPECT TO BE PRUNED BACK.

When we become fruitful and we make a difference in this world to bless others and help where we can, it is time for a pruning season in our life. As God expands our ministry and prepares us for promotion, then it is time to cut away the old dead things in our life.  Pride, that we picked up along the way. Self-righteousness, critical spirit, anything that takes away your peace. Things that hinder our growth and have us stunted and turning stagnant. When God uses us in a big way or a little way, we tend to believe we had something to do with it. Human nature wants to take some of the credit. Pride sneaks into our heart. John 15:1-2 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser,  "every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. All the glory and credit goes to God not us.  We were just willing vessels that the Holy Spirit moved through. We are to bear fruit in holiness, righteousne
