WE ARE TO OCCUPY UNTIL JESUS COMES.

To occupy means to take up place or time.  To hold onto the ground that you have gained so far, take control and hold on. Luke 12:32 "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. What exactly does it mean to occupy until Jesus comes? Do business as usual and hold on to the ground that you have gained in your growth in the Lord. For some people Jesus can come tomorrow, or next week, or today. However there is a time set by the Father, when Jesus comes for His church. We are to be ready every moment for His return. The word of God says that the bride makes herself ready. Revelation 19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory,  for the marriage for the Lamb has come, His wife has made herself ready. Acts 1:6-7 Therefore when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"  And He said to them,   "it is not for you to know the times or seasons whi

WHERE CAN WE ENCOUNTER THE LORD?

Most people believe that we can only encounter the Lord, in great meetings, like conventions, revivals and in churches, prayer meetings. Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered in My name, I am there in the midst of them. Beloved, Peter encountered Jesus by the sea. His brother Andrew had already brought Simon to see the Messiah. (John 1:42-44) Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brothers,  Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea;  for they were fishermen.  The Samaritan woman at the well encountered Jesus.  (John4:4-42)  Zacchaeus encounter Jesus while up in a tree.  (Luke 19:1-10) Blind Bartimaeus  encountered Jesus on a road.  (Mark 10:46-52)  The leper on a hill listening to Jesus speak. (Matthew 8:1-3) Beloved, never limit where you can encounter the Lord Jesus. He is everywhere you are, if you are His follower. Remember Jesus chose you. John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you

ARE YOU SEEKING THE BLESSNG OR THE ONE WHO GIVES THE BLSSING?

We have a "what's in it for me " generation.  Self is sitting on the throne.  We want God's blessings,  but we have no time to spend in the presence of the Lord. Everyone is so busy these days, striving for something that is out of their reach. Matthew 6:33-34 (Jesus teaching on food and clothes.) But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.  Sufficient  for the day is its own trouble. Jesus mentions time and again about us resting. Let Jesus carry your burdens.  He said He will provide, so let Him! Running ahead of God causes everything to be delayed.  Wait, pray, listen to the Lord, and fill up with His word.  Then you will find peace and rest and direction for your day. So many are seeking the blessings of God, without giving the one who blesses the time of day. Some say a quick prayer and feel like they have done their du

Prayers that are from our heart and not our head. Part 2

There are four kinds of prayers. 1.  Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication.  (ACTS) Prayers of Adoration are when we praise God for who He is.  The Almighty One, Holy and full of goodness and mercy.  We worship God. Psalm 111. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart ,  in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. 2.  Prayers of Confession. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins,  He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. These are prayers that we say when we search our heart and become transparent with God about our failures and weaknesses. In the book of James we are to pray for one another and confess to one other.  Someone you believe is full of the Lord and His word. (Psalm 107:20) James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. Healed of body, soul and spirit. Proverbs 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper,  But whoever confesses and forsakes the

PRAYERS THAT COME FROM OUR HEART AND NOT JUST OUR HEAD. Part 1.

It is time to be more transparent with our Lord and be real with our prayers. We have 4 kinds of prayer in the bible. 1. A doration.  2. C onfession.  3. T hanksgiving and 4.  S upplication.(We will discuss these in Part 2) The way to remember them are to remind yourself what is written in the book of Acts. When we pray it should always come from our heart, as Jesus wants us to realize that prayer is part of our relationship with Him. Hebrews 4:16 Let us  therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace  to help in time of need. Run into the arms of Jesus, He loves you. Some believers pray religious repetitions, things that they have learned to do.   These do not impress God as He wants your prayer to come from your heart, not your head. When you love someone you are open and familiar with them, with no holding back. Jesus longs for our communion with Him.  When we know deep in our heart that we belong to the Lord and that He loves us, we will com
