The enemy is not smart, persecution of the church will only cause it to grow.
When persecution is aimed at the church, it will only cause it to grow and flourish.
Persecute means: to put to flight, and drive away or drive out.
2Timothy 3:12-14
Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
The enemy thinks by persecuting the church that we will back off. Wrong, when the church is persecuted we are empowered to grow. Tenacious faith will arise.
Paul and the other disciples gave their all, so that we can have what we have today.
The more the church was persecuted, the more it grew.
Like with us, the pain and disappointment and hurt that we encounter, the more we will grow from it all.
Pain reminds us that something is not right. Disappointment reminds us that we live in a fallen world. Hurt feelings remind us that we need to die to self daily.
All these things should drive us to the Lord to receive healing for our bodies, healing of our emotions.
Healing will bring relief to our being, it will set us back on track to wholeness.
Look at the history of the church, the more it was persecuted the more it grew.
John 15:20-23
Remember the word that I said to you, A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My names sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.
Persecution will come, be prepared in your heart, as to how you will respond when it does come.
Ask yourself, am I sold out to Jesus? Will I bend and bow down to the world and compromise to save my skin?
Beloved, we must be prepared for whatever comes our way. Remember we have the power and authority over the enemy. We need to be prepared, and equipped at all times.
Saul, persecuted the church, and God saved Saul and renamed him Paul, and look how much persecution that Paul had to endure, it only caused the growth of the church worldwide. He gave his very life to see the church mature and grow.
Beloved, be ready for anything, be strong in the Lord, and do not let your guard down.
Stay ready and stay steady, filling your mind and heart with the truth of God's word.
Praise and worship the Lord daily, or for that matter, moment by moment.
Remember, Religion is man working his way to God, Christianity is God came down to man. You can never earn your salvation, it is a free gift from God to you by His grace.
