The church, a living organism, the body of Christ on the earth.

The church is the body of Christ on this earth. What exactly is the duty of the church, that living organism that breathes and talks and moves upon the earth. The body of Christ Jesus. We don't just represent the body of Christ, we are the body of Christ , representing all of the Father's nature of LOVE! It was birthed to represent the heavenly kingdom.  To preach, heal, pray, speak to the mountains of problems they will encounter, and most of all to reach lost souls, and show them the love of God. The church sometimes meets in a building or homes, or stadiums, sometimes a store front. Jesus said, "where two or three are gathered in His name He is there in their midst." So wherever believers are together, Jesus is there. Ephesians 2:19-20 Now therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself bein...

Jesus comes to us where we live, He loves us as we are.

Our hearts are God's birth place and our lives are His home. Have you ever wondered why God takes us just as we are? It is because, He wants to place His nature in us.  He has already made us in His image, but through sin, our character and nature was marred. The very character of Jesus is being formed in us. God formed us (Genesis 1:26) "Let us make man in our image" Sin deformed us ( Romans 3:23) "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Human knowledge reforms us ( Proverbs 14 :12) There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it leads to death." Christ transforms us (Romans 5:1) Being justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." The Word of God conforms us . (2Timothy 3:16) All scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness." The trouble with human knowledge is that it will change and not be stable, it is fickle ...

Are you serving the Lord before sitting at His feet and receiving from Him?

As this world gets more troubled,  it is only a setting for the glory of God to show up.   God lets things go just so far and then He steps in with the glory from heaven.  Things people could not have dreamed of, God is doing today. Rejoice!! The sleeping giant that was caught in religion, or I should say religious activities, good things, and being servants, and that's needed, but we must spend time with Jesus first. But now instead of so much focus on how to fix self and others, the sleeping Giant has its eyes back on the Lord Jesus and spending more time with Him, sitting at His feet. Conferences are nice, church service is needed, but we need to spend personal time with Jesus, sitting at His feet. Luke 10:38-42 Now it happened as they went that they entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into their house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus feet and heard His word. But Martha was distra...

Someone you think to be ordinary, God is changing to be extraordinary

God is saving from the gutter most,  to the uttermost, those ones that we believe to be lost. Don't give up on those who are acting out in sin,  living the unbridled nature, like a wild horse. Those are the very people that God will use in a greater way than we could ever have believe He would be able to use. 1Corinthians 1:26-29 For you see your calling brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are mighty, and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and things which are not,  to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. Don't give up on those that are lost and living out a life of sin. We see only those ones in the natural, God sees what He intends to make them become in Christ ...

When we truely love Jesus, we will want to please Him.

Living in this kingdom of God here on this earth, will bring challenges in our life. We now are being changed with a new nature, God's very nature. Like a ship when the wind comes it must adjust it's sails, so we must adjust our life to reveal that we are the Kings kids and reveal our royalty in all we do. Speak life! Jesus has saved us, and daily we are being changed, is that change evident in your life? We all struggle with the old nature, that sinful nature trying to rear its head from the grave we buried it in. Stay strong and draw on the Lords strength. We do not want to grieve the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:25-32 Therefore, putting away lying, let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.  "Be angry, and do not sin, do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil .  Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good that he may have something to ...

Is it not time to set our priorities in order?

Knowing and acting upon what is first in our life, will set the day in order in all we set our heart and mind to do. God and His kingdom should always come first. Matthew 6:31-33 Therefore do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or what shall we wear?" For after all these things the Gentiles seek.  For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. As soon as we open our eyes, Jesus should be on our heart and mind.  All that He is doing is good, and for the betterment of our life and His kingdom. When we love God, we want to tell Him so, and praise Him, as we open our eyes to start our day. Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind"   This is the first and...

We are learning daily, to be more patient with ourselves and others.

Let us be patient and not waver in our hope, enduring until the end. We want everything to be instant.  Instant food, coffee, instant answers, yet we do not consider the fact that as we wait we learn to be more patient for things and with people, we are building our hope and hope does not disappoint. 1Thessalonians 1: 2-3 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father.  James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience .  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect (mature) and complete, lacking nothing. The word patient or patience means: to never give up , never quit ,  we will not surrender, hold your ground, keep your position. Endure! The early church was under ...

It is in our lowest moments, that we are moving toward of destiny.

Have you ever noticed that in our lowest moments of sorrow, sadness, and uncertainty of that season in our life, will lead you to your highest destiny. Part of the fruit of the Spirit is longsuffering, something none of us want to go through, but we will, as we come through that season in our life, great things, from the Lord await us. 2Corinthians 4:8-11 We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair,  persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed, always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.  For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. Beloved, we die daily to the dictates of this fleshly house we live in. We are to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and see life manifested  from our season of longsuffering. Kindness, goodness and f...

The abundance of the grace of God

Do we fully understand the abundance of the grace of God in our life? Grace (unmerited favor) has been given to us in abundance . However, just because we have abundance of grace does not give us a free reign to live in sin. This grace of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord, has given us the right to reign in this life. Grace is received through faith. We must believe that grace is there to draw on when we have no more answers in the natural. Set your mind on heavenly things. Roman 5:15-19 But the free gift is not like the offense.  For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the One Man Jesus Christ abounded to many.  And the gift is not like the that which came through the one who sinned. (Adam) For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. Justification means: just as though you had never sinned. ...

Trusting Jesus as He has the Holy Spirit do His work in us.

Image
Are there things in your life that you need to let go of, so that God can replace them with something better? Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that He who begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Please note that it is He who is doing the work in us.  We cooperate with the Holy Spirit, and allow Him free reign to move in our life. Philippians 2:12-15 Therefore, my beloved, as you always obeyed not in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling ; for it is God who works in you both to will and do His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. We can only work out what God has already worked into us. As we cooperate with the Holy Spirit, we are able then to show the goodne...

Greatest love letter to God's creation

Image
We have the greatest love letter from our heavenly Father, the bible, His living word. I wonder how many of us, read that love letter. It tells us how to live in this mixed up world, it gives us comfort, hope, healing, wisdom, and strength, direction, peace of mind, just knowing that the Lord sees everything in our life and He has gone before us. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus is our Valentine, He is the greatest expression of real love to us. A piece of paper is nice, a card is nice, but nothing compares to the price Jesus paid for our soul. His own blood.  Whatever the enemy has stolen from us, Jesus has bought it back.  It is ours to claim. Salvation, healing, peace of mind, rest for our souls. It is all ours through the Holy Spirit in us, because of Jesus sacrifice of love. Beloved, we are saved, not by what we do, but what Jesus...

You can carry nothing out of this world, but God's love.

Image
There is nothing in this world that we can carry out of it when we leave it. What we have received into our heart is God's love, that is all we can carry out of this world, when it is our time to go to our heavenly home with Jesus. We came in this world naked, we will leave this world naked.  There are no U-hauls behind  a hearse. Only the love of God, and what we have done out of that love , will follow us. Only what our heart holds will go with us, God's love that is unconditional, a love that gives, and gives, of itself. A love that fills our heart to overflowing and spilling out on others. Knowing this fact, should make those things that we hold dear and that we value, so insignificant, this will put our things in the proper perspective.  God wants us to have the abundant life here and now, but don't love things, love people.  That is the only thing that we can carry out of this world. John 10:10 "The thief does not come exce...

The most power weapon we have to use against our enemies, is love!

The world says for you to hate your enemies, Jesus said to love them. By loving your enemies you will make them friends. Matthew 5:43-48 (Jesus speaking) "You have heard that it was said, "you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy."  " But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you , that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?  Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others?  Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. God wants us to mature in His love, the love, that He has placed in our heart. Our flesh wants to go the worlds way, our new bor...

Is your life full of the demonstration of God's love?

Is God's love evident in your life? God's love in us, is not judgmental. Judging is God's business. Conviction is the Holy Spirit's business, our business is to love. God's love in us, does not keep records of wrongs that have been done to us. We leave them at the cross of Christ, and let them go. Those that demonstrate the love of Christ Jesus will draw people to them, by the Holy Spirit. Those that walk in God's love, have a peace about them.  People sense that peace and want what they have.  We are a sweet fragrance to those that are open to receive Jesus. 2Corinthians 2:15 For we are to God, the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God dear children, and walk in love , as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to God  for a sweet -smelling aroma. The love of God that is in us, will produce a sweet aroma to the wo...

Knowing God is near, is all we need to conquer any fear.

Image
Faith and courage is all we need to conquer the fears that the enemy tries to put on us. When we see and hear something that we know is not right, we are to stand up with courage and have the faith to speak the truth, no matter how many believe it is right. Romans 1:17-21 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith , as it is written "The just shall live by faith."   For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen , being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. The...

Are you a passionate follower of Jesus, or a religious consumer?

A Passionate follower of Jesus Christ is one is one who when they see a need in another's life, they will pray and do all they can to help fulfill for that need. They have a compassion for those with hurting hearts, they will do all they can to help that one, but only in the Lord's strength. They are willing to go beyond themselves, and reach into the unknown. Blind faith. Trusting that the Lord will be there, because He has gone before them. The passionate follower is dying to self daily, doing the will of God and suffering for the sake of the kingdom of God. Denying self. 1Peter 2: 15-21 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--as free yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bond servants of God.  Honor all people, Love the brotherhood , fear God and honor the king. Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh.  For this i...

Instead of praying for our circumstances to change, pray for a change of heart.

Sometimes we get so caught up in what we think we want, we lose sight of the very thing that God has for us right now. Be grateful to the Lord for where He has already brought you from, and for what He has already done for and in you. Transformation takes time. When we are anxious over our circumstances, then the circumstances are holding us in bondage. Anxiety leads to fear. Philippians 4:6-8 Be anxious for nothing , but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things  are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are a good report, If there is anything praise worthy, meditate on these things. Our heart change starts by focusing on Jesus our Lord. Thanking Him for all He has already done for...

God's Pathway May not Be the shortest, but it is the best.

As God's children we will all go down His pathway in life, places we are to stop off, and be refreshed , and places that we will need to stay alert and watchful for our adversaries. Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life ;  In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 25:4-7 Show me Your ways O Lord; Teach me Your paths.  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all day. Remember O Lord Your tender mercies and Your loving kindnesses.  For they are of old.  Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;  According to Your mercy remember me, for Your goodness sake O Lord. This Psalm says, "show me, teach me, and lead me. In order for the Holy Spirit to show us, we must be attentive . For The Holy Spirit to teach us, we must be willing and submissive . For Him to lead us, we must be willing to follow His lead. Leaving all the past behind...

A Hearing heart, and a listening ear

Image
DO YOU HAVE A HEARING HEART AND A LISTENING EAR? In order for you to have a hearing heart, you must get quiet and listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit to speak to you, just what Jesus has to say. His sheep hear His voice. Our heart and mind must get quiet and really listen to what the Lord wants to say. Which direction shall we go, or what needs change in our circumstances. The word listen, and silent , have the same letters, yet they convey a different meaning. But we must keep silent in order to hear and really listen to what the Lord is saying to us. For us to listen with our heart, we must be silent. Isaiah 50:4-5 ( About Jesus) "The Lord God has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak A word in season to him who is weary.  He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned. The Lord God has opened My ear ; And I was not rebellious, not did I turn away. Since we have inherited all that Jesus ...

Being in the hands of God, is the safest place we can be. Shelters are nice, but can be torn down.  God's big loving hands are protective, comforting and always loving. Psalm 18:35-36 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up , your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip. John 10:27-30 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.  Father who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the My Father's hand. "I and My Father are one. Once when I was flying from Georgia to Texas and we hit a strong storm, I closed my eyes and began to pray, the Lord showed me in my mind, His great big hands, and the airplane was a tiny speck in His hand. All fear and anxiety left me. Beloved, when fear comes knocking on ...
