Are you a passionate follower of Jesus, or a religious consumer?

A Passionate follower of Jesus Christ is one is one who when they see a need in another's life, they will pray and do all they can to help fulfill for that need.

They have a compassion for those with hurting hearts, they will do all they can to help that one, but only in the Lord's strength.

They are willing to go beyond themselves, and reach into the unknown. Blind faith.
Trusting that the Lord will be there, because He has gone before them.
The passionate follower is dying to self daily, doing the will of God and suffering for the sake of the kingdom of God. Denying self.
1Peter 2: 15-21
For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--as free yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bond servants of God. 
Honor all people, Love the brotherhood, fear God and honor the king.
Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh.  For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.
(21) For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps.

Whereas a religious consumer, attends church, gives their money, and does very little to further the kingdom of God. Their outside life is one foot in the church and one foot in the world. 
Loving all that the world has to offer. They can look and talk spiritual, but their mind is on the world.
They will not be willing to suffer for the kingdom of God. They stay in their comfort zone, and feel content doing nothing, just looking good.

Whereas, a passionate follower reads God's word to be strengthened daily for the task ahead. They are prayer warriors, they know how to communicate with our Father in heaven. They know that they have the mind of Christ.
They listen for the Holy Spirit's direction.

Religious consumer's, rarely read their bibles. They are consumers of the junk that the world offers and though they look good and can act the part of being spiritual, their mind is in the world. They will say God this and that, but rarely say Jesus Christ my Lord.

Beloved, be a passionate follower of our Lord Jesus, don't be a religious consumer.
Be doers of the word of God, not just hears. Don't just go to church, but Be the church, be that light that shines bright for Jesus!

JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us. God's word is a light unto our path.  Psalms 119:104-105 Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
