PRAYERS THAT COME FROM OUR HEART AND NOT JUST OUR HEAD. Part 1.
It is time to be more transparent with our Lord and be real with our prayers.
We have 4 kinds of prayer in the bible.
1. Adoration. 2. Confession. 3.Thanksgiving and 4. Supplication.(We will discuss these in Part 2)
The way to remember them are to remind yourself what is written in the book of Acts.
When we pray it should always come from our heart, as Jesus wants us to realize that prayer is part of our relationship with Him.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Run into the arms of Jesus, He loves you.
Some believers pray religious repetitions, things that they have learned to do.
These do not impress God as He wants your prayer to come from your heart, not your head.
When you love someone you are open and familiar with them, with no holding back.
Jesus longs for our communion with Him.
When we know deep in our heart that we belong to the Lord and that He loves us, we will come boldly to meet with Him and fellowship with Him.
Like the old song "Just as I am, without one plea" Come as you are. because God knows you, He knows all your weaknesses and mistakes, but He loves you just the same.
Beloved there is nothing hidden from God's eyes.
Matthew 10:24-26
"A disciple is not above his teacher, and a servant like his master. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of His household.
Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered what will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
When we sin, we should be quick to run into the arms of Jesus and confess. He already knows about it, but wants us to rid ourselves of the guilt and shame by coming to Him and letting His precious blood wash it away so that the enemy cannot use it against us.
When we fail to confess and stuff it in our soul, then the enemy has something to work with. Reminding us how bad we are and that God doesn't love us.
He is a liar and has always been one. It is very important that you confess and forsake and move on.
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.
See Beloved, there is no judgment after you have confessed sins.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The enemy can not judge what has been washed away. There is nothing for him to work with against you. its gone!
Romans 6:12
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
Proverbs 16:17
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul.
Beloved, when we spend time with Jesus in prayer, we will come out with a new perspective on matters that were a concern to us.
Talking to Jesus from our heart makes all the difference.
When we are told to come boldly, then that is what we need to do.
While our soul is going through a transformation, our spirit is complete, new and full of the life of God.
Colossians 2:10
and you are complete in Him, (Jesus) who is the head of all principality and power.
Beloved, be bold when you have a need.
Psalm 107:20
He sent His word and healed them. And delivered them from their destructions.
Jesus is the living word, pray His word when you need healing. Mind, body, or soul. If you have a deep concern about anything.
Like the lady I prayed with for her need.
When I ministered at Women's Aglow, a lady came up in the prayer line and asked for prayer for her daughter to be able to get a dress for a special occasion.
I told her God knew her heart before she ever came to the meeting and He has already made provision for her answer.
When the ladies in charge went to pay me for ministering, I told them write the check to this lady.
God answered her prayer sooner than she thought. Tears of joy flowed from her.
Beloved, God hears our heart before we even ask. But He does say ask, so ask!
Prayers that we have learned from our head often are delayed prayers until they come from our heart.
God is looking for intimacy that requires our faith in trusting Him.
Part two next week.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
