WE ARE TO OCCUPY UNTIL JESUS COMES.
To occupy means to take up place or time. To hold onto the ground that you have gained so far, take control and hold on.
Luke 12:32
"Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
What exactly does it mean to occupy until Jesus comes?
Do business as usual and hold on to the ground that you have gained in your growth in the Lord.
For some people Jesus can come tomorrow, or next week, or today.
However there is a time set by the Father, when Jesus comes for His church.
We are to be ready every moment for His return.
The word of God says that the bride makes herself ready.
Revelation 19:7
"Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage for the Lamb has come, His wife has made herself ready.
Acts 1:6-7
Therefore when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" And He said to them,
"it is not for you to know the times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
Beloved, we are to hold our ground and do business as we always do. Live our life, do what God has called us to do. Win souls to the Lord and be an example of His righteousness to those on the outside.
Enjoy each day that God has given you.
In the book of Acts.
Acts 2:41
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about 3000 souls were added to them.
God added to the church 3000 souls.
Acts 6:7
Then the word of the Lord spread, and the number of disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.
Beloved, God first adds then He multiplies. Keep that in mind when you feel like you are doing little. Your little could turn into a great number.
Zechariah 4:10 (Don't despise small beginning).
While on this earth Jesus is our ark of protection, so be busy doing His calling on your life, and enjoy your life, have some fun, laughter and fellowship with those that are like minded.
Go about your Father's business.
Occupy until Jesus comes for us who believe and follow Him.
Win new souls, when they see that you really care about them and show them the love that they may not have ever experienced growing up,
They will be ready to receive Jesus as Lord. Be that one that reveals God love to them.
Don't hide and prepare for the wrath of God. His children will not experience His wrath, but, the unsaved world will.
Be confident in the Lord. We have His blessed assurance that those in Him will be safe in His loving arms.
I know our ministering angels are all around us.
My cats and dog act like someone is right by my door, they look up, I see no one, but they sure do.
Beloved, we are to remember that we are the supernatural children of God. We will experience things the outside world knows nothing about.
When we sing and worship the Lord, the atmosphere changes. The angels worship with us.
One day I was hearing this beautiful choir singing praises to God.
I had my windows open and the door, so I assumed it was a neighbor playing the worship.
I thought it was outside, but it was inside.
When I closed the windows and door I heard it plainly, it was in my house. No TV, radio or anything was on.
It was a heavenly choir, it happened the next day also, and then it was gone.
As God's supernatural children we can expect things like that to happen.
He gives us a taste of heaven.
I am so glad when I heard that again that I was on the phone and shared that with someone.
I told them I thought it was neighbors, because God's word says the natural comes first then the spiritual.
Beloved, it was spiritual and so beautiful words cannot describe it. A great awe filled my house.
Occupy until Jesus comes, and look for those special moments of heavenly bliss that we should be experiencing. Our taste of heaven.
There is a great cloud of witnesses rooting us on.
Hebrews 12:1
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race set before us.
So Beloved, occupy and be busy with the Father's business until Jesus comes.
Luke 12:43
Blessed is the servant whom his master will find so doing when He comes. (Doing means you are busy, activity doing something for the Master. )
Matthew 24:44-46
"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
Beloved, be busy with the Fathers business until He comes.
Remember to rest one day a week and replenish your energy, resting in the arms of the Lord, filling up with His word, that is Spirit and life. (John 6:63).
There are souls, to win for God's kingdom, ask Him to show you who you can reveal His love to today.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
