Jesus has deposited in you, all you need in this life, are you withdrawing from that deposit ?

God has provided all we need to survive in this life.  He has given us His power, love and a healthy mind. Just like when we have money in our account in the bank, we can withdraw on it when needed. It is ours to take and use. The same is  true, about the gifts and graces that God has deposited in your account with Him. When we need power it is there to draw on.  When we need faith , it is found hearing His word. Do we need strength , We have His strength to draw on. Do you need healing, it is there for the asking. Do we need extra grace to help us forgive someone, it is there to draw on.  Do we need to show mercy to someone, God has already deposited it in us. Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us ...

Do you want to see things from God's perspective? Then soar like an eagle.

We are not to be like the chickens in the barnyard, picking at the dirt. Always gathered in flocks. Be like the eagle who soars above and see the whole barnyard, not just a small area. The eagle does not gather in flocks , they are alone and flying high above in the clouds. They are able to see the smallest mouse from that vantage point. Jesus always went off alone to pray and talk to His Father.  Gaining new strength, and wisdom. Isaiah 40:31 (My late husbands favorite scripture) But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength ; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary , they shall walk and not faint. Sometime we have to get alone and away from the crowd and talk to our heavenly Father. So we also can soar like the eagles. Spending quality time with the Lord and His word, that will give us our perspective from the heavenly vantage point. Gaining the full view of our situation. Not just a barnyard view...

Are you a person that is affended easily? If so, you need to grow in the Lord.

Everyone one of us in the Lord, will have to deal with offences. Matthew 18:7 Woe to the world because of offences! For offences must come, but woe to that man by whom the offence comes! Offence: a resentment, feeling hurt or angry for something that was done to you. An insult or a crime. Offended people become self-righteous, they become judgmental, fear drives them. They start out displeased, then they become resentful, then bitterness sets in and they act upon that bitterness. Their priorities become wrong when they hold bitterness in their heart.   Confusion will set in. James 3:13-16 (Heavenly wisdom verses demonic) Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in meekness and wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, c...

What causes us to come to the Lord and want to repent?

Do you understand that it is because of God's goodness that we have a desire to repent, knowing that Father loves us. God's judgment on the unworthy, ungodly things going on. Romans 2: 3-4 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and do the same , that you will escape the judgment of God. Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads to repentance? There is a difference between, remorse, guilt and regret, they are not repentance. Being remorseful only produces sorrow,  it keeps you feeling guilty and ashamed. We can have regret and feel bad, but still that is not repentance. True repentance demands change in heart and actions. With you depending on the Holy Spirit to help you, He will make lasting change. True change of heart is all the Holy Spirit will need to work in you. We can have remorse for something we have done, and feel sorry, bu...

Are you aware of the effects of the righteousness of Christ in you.

We have the righteousness of Christ in our life. That counts for everything. Our own righteousness is as filthy rags, counts for nothing. Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned through the one, (that was Adam) much more those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. There are great benefits for believers in Jesus and those that follow Him.  He gave us His righteousness as a gift, along with the grace of God. (Psalm 103:1-5) Isaiah 32:17 The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever. So many in the Christian world struggle to become righteous, but God has already given us His righteousness. Why would we try to add to that fact. Since righteousness is an attribute of God, it entails His faithfulness and truthfulness. Attributes  that we are to allow the Holy Spirit to work in our new nature in Jesus Christ....

Do you live in peace, Jesus said He is our peace.

The word peace, shalom, means: rest and contentment, wholeness, harmonized relationship with God and man, undisturbed. Jesus is our peace. Ephesians 2:14 For He Himself is our peace , who has made both one, and has broken down the wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two , thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. (Jew and Gentile are made one in Christ Jesus) We are not going to find real peace in this world. Jesus gave us His peace. John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." In Isaiah 9:6 (the Trinity is listed there ) Jesus is called the Prince of Peace . Isaiah 26:3 You keep him in perfect peace . whose mind is sta...

God will complete whatever He has started in us.

Funny how we tend to think we have to fix ourselves, we do have to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, but God does the lasting work. Philippians 1:3-6 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for all of you with joy., for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. It is the Lord working in us, He knows we are but flesh and need Him to complete us in everyway to reflect His love and nature. Jesus, through the Holy Spirit has begun the work in us, He said He will complete it.   So don't be so hard on yourself when you fail, get up and keep going forward in the Lord. He is working  in us,  as long as we will yield our will to His, we will continue to progress. Make it easy on yourself, remember it is the Holy Spirit's job to bring you to completion. Spiritually speaking, we...
