Are you a person that is affended easily? If so, you need to grow in the Lord.
Everyone one of us in the Lord, will have to deal with offences.
Matthew 18:7
Woe to the world because of offences! For offences must come, but woe to that man by whom the offence comes!
Offence: a resentment, feeling hurt or angry for something that was done to you. An insult or a crime.
Offended people become self-righteous, they become judgmental, fear drives them.
They start out displeased, then they become resentful, then bitterness sets in and they act upon that bitterness.
Their priorities become wrong when they hold bitterness in their heart. Confusion will set in.
James 3:13-16 (Heavenly wisdom verses demonic)
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in meekness and wisdom.
But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
Hebrews 12:12-15
Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord; looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled.
We are to bless others not curse. God blesses us and we are to bless those who spitefully use us.
Take your offence to the Lord. Let Him heal your heart of anything that will withhold goodness in your life, or allow the enemy control over you.
Luke 6:27-28
"But I say to you who hear. Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, "bless those that curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
If you feel offended, go to Jesus, spill your heart out to Him, He already knows what has happened to you, He is waiting for you to bring it to Him, and then let it go.
Remember, God loves the one who offended you, just as much as He loves you.
As soon as you let go of the offence, you will find peace in your heart once again.
And God can and will deal with the offender.
Love covers a multitude of sin!
Beloved, we all will be offended at sometime, it is what we choose to do with the offence that matters to the Lord, and how we are willing to see with the Fathers heart in the whole thing.
Happy are the peace makers!
God bless your day
