THERE IS A GODLY FEAR THAT WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND.
The fear that I am talking about, is for us to be in AWE of the God we have given our life to.
Psalm 111:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Since it is the beginning, that means it is on going. Teaching us every step of the way.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Matthew 10:27-28 (Jesus speaking)
"Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
But fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
The Greek word for fear is terror, and dread, but the next one is for us believers.
Reverence and Awe.
The Hebrew word for fear is just reverence and respect.
Beloved, God is not a glorified butler, that we think we can command Him to do things, He is Almighty God!! Creator of the universes.
I have heard prideful people say, "its in His word, He has to do it"
Just where is the fear of God in that statement?
No, Beloved, If and when He does it, it will be in His time and His way.
Psalm 34:9
Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.
Beloved, we are to be like the ants, the word of God calls them people.
They have great wisdom in preparing for the future.
Proverbs 30:24
There are four things which are little on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise; the ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their food in summer;
Beloved, are you preparing for the future return of Jesus?
We also as believers and followers of Jesus, need to prepare to meet Jesus, we are not promised tomorrow.
Get out of the worlds mindset, and focus on Jesus and what He said.
We need to use wisdom while preparing to meet our Lord.
Let go of anything and anyone that hinders your walk in righteousness.
We can hinder our own walk by listening to the wrong voices. Check everything you hear with the word of God, and make certain that it is in context. Know God's word!
A good example is Jeremiah 29:11
The Israelites were on their way into bondage in Babylon. God's word would be fulfilled only after 70 years.
God gave them that word to reassure them and give them hope while in Babylon.
Beloved, never take God's word out of its context. Read the whole chapter and get the whole meaning.
It will only hinder your faith and disappoint you when you read it out of context..
Fear the Lord! and remember He is faithful to perform His word, but in His time and His way, not yours!
Isaiah 55:11
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Beloved, respect our Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, He is always working behind the scenes for our good, so trust the Lord, and be in awe of just who He is and what He does.
Be like the Bereans, acts 17:11, search God's word, study it and live it. Find the whole truth.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
