UNFORGIVENESS LEADS TO BITTERNESS AND BITTERNESS WILL DEFILE EVERYTHING THAT IS TOUCHED.
According to James 3, we have been given three times to pray and repent.
James 3:13-18
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in meekness and wisdom.
But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do nor boast and lie against the truth.
This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield , full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Where bitterness starts is in unforgiveness.
God forgave us, we need to forgive others.
Remembering God's grace and mercy.
Unforgiveness starts out earthly, belonging to the natural, living in the domain of our 5 senses, being concerned with this life only. (Worldly)
Then it moves on to the illicit desires, unclean practices, that open a person to the demonic.
Acts 8:22-23 (Simons Pride)
"Repent therefore of this wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart be forgiven. For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity."
Hebrews 12:14-15
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord; looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;
Beloved, guard your heart, and do not hold unforgiveness in your heart.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you, any hidden areas in your heart where unforgiveness can be hidden. It will effect your health, and peace.
James 3:17-18
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Beloved, study God's word on this subject, you do not want to give access to the enemy.
He is always looking for an entrance. Close every door to him, with true repentance.
Live in the grace and truth God has provided to us.
Do something nice for the one you haven't forgiven, it will bless them and you.
Extend the grace of God to the one you have not yet forgiven. Remember, how merciful God has been and is with you. Show compassion.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you.
