Our God has so many facets, like a diamond and more.  Part 2

He is the bread of life:

John 6:35

And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life.  He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.


He is the Spirit of truth

John 16:13-14

"However, when He the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine and declare it to you.


We can know the things that are coming, by listening to the Holy Spirit.  He has the  answers to our questions.

The Holy Spirit never speaks of Himself, He always points to Jesus. Just as we should.

He is our mediator:

1Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.  Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.


He is our hiding place:

Psalm 32:7

You are my hiding place;  You shall preserve me from trouble;  You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.

God loves music, He created it.  Songs of deliverance cause us to feel God's peace.


He is our strong tower:

Proverbs 18:10

The name of the Lord is a strong tower;  the righteous run to it and are safe.


If we only understood how powerful God's names are.  We should study every name He calls Himself, and then we will realize the power in those names.

My favorite is the great IAM.  He is all that we will ever need.


He is our refuge from the storm.

Isaiah 25:4

For you have been a strength to the poor,  A strength to the needy in his distress,  A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against a wall.


He is our peace:

2 Thessalonians 3:16

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in everyway,  The Lord be with you all.


He is our shield:

Psalm 144:2

My lovingkindness and my fortress,  My high tower and my deliverer, My shield and the One in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.


Beloved, our God is all of this and so much more.

Years ago we use to sing a song in church about these names of God, you would come out uplifted,

energized and ready to take on the world.


He is our hope:

Psalm 71:5-6

For You are my hope O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth, By You I have been upheld from birth;  You are He who took me out of my mother's womb,  My praise shall be continually of You. (Psalm 139:16)


He is the God of comfort:

Romans 15:5

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be likeminded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,  that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.


He is our light:

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and salvation;  whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?


Beloved,  that light shines in our darkness, so we can know where we are going. 

Take a day and study all that our God reveals about Himself in His word. 

No one can list all that He is.  He is so multi-faceted, there is so much to learn and apply to our lives that we do know.  

Faith in our Lord will lead us to answers that we need.  It all in God's word.  

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you when you cannot find what you are looking for.  He is our teacher, waiting to help.

So many wonderful things that God is for us, and He is always there, waiting, watching over us. What a beautiful reminder this is of all we can rely on from God. Psalm 27:1 is a favorite verse🙏😇💛

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God. Just speaking His name, we inhale YAH and exhale WEH.   YHWH means breath of life. Our Jewish brothers and sisters know the name of God means breath of God. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong.
