What to do while we are waiting for answers from the Lord.
Waiting on the Lord is something that our flesh wars against. We want instant answers and we want them now.
Romans 8:5
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
When we are impatient, we can move in the flesh instead of waiting for the Lord and hearing the Holy Spirit speak to us, but, if we run ahead of God we will not be satisfied.
When we move in the flesh, we give the enemy an opportunity to provide fror us a counterfeit answer.
While waiting on the Lord, Praise Him and thank Him for the answer from His heart for you for this situation.
That is showing trust and faith is connected to your thankfulness and praise.
Psalm 62:1-2
Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.
Psalm 62:5
My soul wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.
Notice the word silently. We are to be patient and not constantly pray the same thing over an over in a different way.
God is not hard of hearing, He heard you the first time, He wanted to see if faith was connected to that prayer.
Do we really believe that God has the best for us? or are we unsure? We must add faith to our prayers and wait silently for the Lord.
God is always working behind the scenes, Preparing the best He has for us, trust Him!
The world we live in is instant everything. If our computer takes to long coming up, we get impatient. If our phone has a low battery, we get impatient and we have to plug it in. If there is too long a line to wait in, we get impatient.
Getting caught in a long line, is an opportunity to share Jesus with someone. Those long lines and the people in them, were placed there by the Lord, who directs our steps.
I think many people are addicted to their phones, they do not realize it, but let them lose it for a day and it is mayhem.
Personally, I liked the old cash registers at the stores, I like the fact that we have to be home to use our phone. I do not always carry mine when I go out.
We all need to get back to the peaceful shopping at the grocery store, no phone to answer. The same at a restaurant, people are busy on their phones. So sad.
We need to be patient with the Lord, He is moving at His pace and not ours. We are all spoiled, we want answers now! Be patient and you will receive the best, stay quiet and allow your soul to rest.
God Bless your day
