GOD WILL COMPLETE IN US WHAT HE HAS STARTED.

In our testings and trials, God is accomplishing much in us.

Philippians 1:3-6

I Thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the the of  Jesus Christ;

Beloved, notice it is God who will complete His work, we won't be doing it ourselves.

If we try, it will get in the way of the Holy Spirit working in us.

The good work is Jesus transforming our life to be more like Him.

So why is our self effort a waste of time?

We only cause a delay, so let go!

All we are to do is yield to the work of the Holy Spirit.

With prayer and filling our spiritual tank with the word of God, so that the Holy Spirit has something to work with in us.

We can't fix ourselves or others, we can however offer love, mercy, and comfort by putting ourselves in the others shoes.

Then we can pray from our heart and not our head.

Beloved, every time I tried to help God out with my growth, trying to fix myself, all I did was delay what He was about to do in me.

LET GO AND LET GOD!!

It says, He will complete a good work in us, not that we will complete that work. Just yield.

We are to die daily to that SELF!

Colossians 2:9-10

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

If we are already complete, why are we still trying to fix ourselves of our weaknesses connected to our past?

That's the work of the Holy Spirit in us.

When we confront a heated trial in our flesh, We know that God is working.

The Lord knows the deep things that we have allowed in our spirit from the things of the world or false teaching.

He allows a trial to bring those things to the surface, when we are not at peace, it is time.

That will cause the hidden weak things to surface, and then the Holy Spirit can scoop them off. GONE!

Beloved, remember that we are being transformed daily to be more and more like Jesus. There will be a lot of activity going on in our life.

People in our life are there for a reason or a season. They will come and go.

We are suppose to be dead to our old life, and we are to walk in the newness of our new life in Jesus Christ. So keep walking.

We are not to dig in the graveyard of our past.

When we gave Jesus our life, we became new, a new creation. Rest in that thought.

Hebrews 13:20-21

Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepard of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever, Amen.

As you can see it is the work of His Spirit through the shed blood of Jesus.

So, relax in the peace of Jesus and learn to rest in His loving arms while that work is taking place.

Remember, it is the Lord working in us, not us trying to fix ourselves.

If you have a weakness that needs the attention of the Holy Spirit, confess it, so that the enemy has nothing to work with that will put condemnation on you and make you miserable.

All our sins were dealt with at the cross, Past, present and future sins, we all miss the mark in something as we are being transformed to be more like Jesus.

We all start out a babe in Christ, then the daily growth begins.

Let God do the work, step aside and just Praise Him for all His blessings and be thankful for the work being done in your life.

God Bless your day

Jesus loves you

I have to frequently remind myself of the provisions of redemption. God did not overhaul the shattered pieces of my old life. He started all over and made me a new creation! Thank You Lord 😊

A friend was telling me today about how he spent the past few years digging into this past to deal with childhoods wounds. He was advising I do the same, but my approach has been to keep moving forward ("press on" as Paul suggests) and seek to know, reciprocate, and share the love of God. Looking further inward or outward doesn't seem to work for me - upward is the only other direction, and aligns with Scripture (and your post today, Joy).
