LOVE IS ALWAYS WILLING TO STOOP DOWN TO HELP ANOTHER UP.

In John 8:6, a women is thrown down at Jesus feet. Jesus bends down where the woman is at.

He begins to write on the stones at the temple.

Only God had written on stones.

The reality of who Jesus is, caused the religious leaders to leave.

I find it interesting that Jesus told Nicodemus, a very religious man, that he must be born again.

The man humbled himself and came to Jesus.

As believers we are born again of God's Spirit.

1Peter 1:22-23

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

Beloved, love is always willing to stoop down to help another up.

Humility is a sign that we are born again of God's Spirit.

A humble person will always point to Jesus, never themselves.

1 Peter 5:5-6

Likewise you younger people, submit to your elders, Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for God resist the proud, But gives grace to the humble.

James 4:10

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Just like Jesus lifted up the woman caught in adultery.

He told her to go and sin no more.

The Hebrew word for Humility: Anavah.

It conveys a sense of selflessness and modesty,

Surrendering of our strength to God.

It's not a lack of confidence or weakness, it is that we are to live our life in Jesus with full reliance on the Holy Spirit, never exalt yourself.

Any good that we do is because of God living in us.

Keep in mind when thinking about humility.

Jesus stripped Himself and got down and washed the disciples feet, yes, even Judas feet.

Read the full account in John 13:2-17.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any hidden secrets that you can apply to your life.

Beloved, humility is needed in our life, As we reveal the nature of Jesus to a sinful world.

Philippians 2:3-4

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

Let each of you look out not only for your own interests, but also for the interests of others.

When we lift up ourselves, instead of Jesus, we have just opened the door for trouble in our life.

Humble yourself, and God will lift you up.

We use to sing a song that spoke of this.

God bless your day,

Thank you for all your prayers for me, I am recovering and doing well, after the fall and surgery.

By His stripes we are healed. Psalm 107:20-21, Psalm 103:1-5. Believe God's word.

Jesus loves you

At the end of September, I was in a church where the pastor had a pile of towels next to his communion table. I asked him what the towels were for. He responded with “We will be at Church Of the Towel”. I looked at him as to say, tell me more and he did. He referred back to John 13 and said this will be a church that serves others. What a visible reminder! He handed everybody in his congregation a towel. I asked him if I could have a towel as well. That towel now travels with me from city to city reminded me that I too am to serve.
Thank you for this word! 💗

Something that we must major in. We need to remind ourselves of this daily!

What a great reminder…we are to walk humbly, and when we don’t, God will remind us! I once went to a job interview and was confidently answering the questions, feeling good about it all, and then… I was asked about a time I learned something from someone else. My mind went blank. I have always talked about the importance of being open to learning new things and so many have helped me along the way. However, at that moment I froze. It was an eye opening experience. I did not get the job, but God used it all to remind me that it is He who is in control and guides us. We are to focus on Him. We learn from Jesus and walk accordingly! Not I but Him!

Momma Joy, so happy to see you back at the keyboard posting these wonderful words of encouragement. And I can’t think of a more important lesson to proclaim to his body at this time in history then the message of love and humility. It turns out that that is the whole point of being a disciple and when we make disciples that is what we are supposed to be modeling for them so that they can reflect the love of Jesus and be servants who love and serve like he did. The church has so tragically misunderstood the point of the gospel that my heart breaks every day. We are not supposed to be baptizing and making converts so they can go to heaven when they die and until then come to our churches and sit in our pews,we are supposed to be raising up people who love like Jesus loves.Thank you so much for shining the light! Love you bunches, Jackie
