THERE IS A TIME TO SPEAK AND A TIME TO BE SILENT AND TO HAVE A LISTENING EAR,

Silent and listen have the same letters. Isn't that interesting?

We are to keep silent when others are talking. We should be listening to their every word.

Not thinking about what we want to say, but waiting for the Holy Spirit to direct us.

After praying with someone, our words should carry life, revealing the love of Jesus this is so important.

Ecclesiastes 3:7

A time to tear, and a time to sew, a time to keep silent, and a time to speak.

A wise believer will know when to listen and when to speak.

Beloved, silence becomes an active display of our spiritual depth and insight.

When we are worshipping Jesus, take a time to be silent before Him so you can hear Him speaking to your heart.

The Greek Philosopher Pythagoras said" Our words will reveal our character.

 Just what God's word says.

Proverbs 17:28

Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

Ecclesiastes 5:3

For a dream comes through much activity, And a fool's voice is known by his many words.

It's time to pay attention to our thoughts and cast down any thought that does not line up with the word of God.

2Corinthians 10:5

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

This is a daily task to be on our guard, and catch those thoughts before they become words that come out of our mouth.

Once said, they cannot be retrieved. So confess them as sin and repent and move on.

Do we need to apologize to someone? Then do it, it will help to heal. And it will humble us.

Beloved, speaking God's word at the right time in a situation will give insight into an answer that's needed.

Keep in mind that we are to minister to one another, no one has all the answers, but each one has a gift of the right words at the right time.

Most of the time they are not aware of it, because it came from the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes sharing something in the natural where we found a solution for a problem, it is a word spoken in due season to help.

Beloved, learn when to speak and when to keep silent.

My spiritual children know when they say something I don't agree with, I keep silent.

That is their cue to back off and rethink what they have said.

It will take the fruit of  self-control from the Spirit to not speak up. The Holy Spirit helps us with that when its needed.

Our mind says tell them speak up and say something, but the Holy Spirt says No!

If it is the wrong time that person will become defensive. The flesh always fights the Spirit.

Beloved, in my 50 some years, I am learning things that I wish I had known years ago.

Praise God that we grow daily.

There is a time to keep silent and a time to speak.

Remember that, and you will save yourself a lot of trouble. I am speaking from experience.

One thing I do, I always allow my spiritual children to unload what is on their heart and mind.

I stay silent and listen. I do not get in a hurry to address the things that I have heard.

We all need someone we can trust with our deepest concerns.

God will show you who that someone is. They are full of the love of Jesus and care for God's children.

Always see yourself in the other persons shoes.

Believe me, you will have mercy and compassion for them.

Never ever see yourself above anyone.

We are all on this journey together.

Remember Pride is overestimating self, and under estimating others.

Beloved, let the nature of Jesus shine through you.

Be silent when it is needed, and have an open heart to really listen to others.

You will gain understanding and you will please your Lord. It will reveal Jesus' nature and love.

God bless your day

Jesus loves you

Such a good word!
Taking every thought captive and embracing silence and truly listening to the Holy Spirit and to what others are saying, brings life into our relationships. This is a great message to apply to our marriages. Love you Mama Joy!
