STOP TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN, AND JUST BE ONE.

 You can not perfect yourself, that is the work of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 4:9-12

There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.

Let us therefore be diligent to enter the rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The word of God reads us while we read it. It will show you hidden intents in your heart.

It will speak to you about your thought life.

So cast all your cares unto the Lord, and He will carry them. Let go, and Let God!!

Rest in Jesus while the Holy Spirit does the work in you. We are being sanctified daily, changed from glory to glory.

When we try to be a good Christian, we are moving in our flesh, trying to do the Holy Spirits job. Just be you in Jesus, that is enough.

Stop trying, and learn to rest in the arms of Jesus.

We can try all we like, but it will only frustrate us. God's word tells us to rest.

If someone tells you to act like a Christian, you will just become one of the actors! Not genuine.

When the Holy Spirit helps you to be a real Christian, you will be full of compassion, mercy and grace and forgiveness.

You will reflect the very nature of Jesus, who revealed the Father's nature.

You will love God's word and obey it and learn from it.

Beloved, we have all seen people who said that they were followers of Jesus, only to find out that they were not who they claimed to be. 

They were false, or a baby Christian that refused to grow. Paul addressed that issue.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you still are not able; for you are still carnal. For where is envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

So, what does it mean to be a Christian?

It means to be Christ like! Humble, willing to serve and to share God's love wherever we go.

1Peter 2:2-3

as new born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Beloved, don't allow the "what ifs, or should haves, enter your mind. Cast them out, you have a new day to do the will of God.

There will be another opportunity along the way.

When we try too hard and fail, the enemy will come with condemnation. STOP TRYING! and let the Holy Spirit teach you to rest while he does the work that is needed.

(Proverbs 3:13-17) Wisdom. Read it all.

Jesus grew in wisdom and so should we.

The definition of wisdom: Greek, Sophia.

A deep intelligence, of sound judgment and insight into reality and seeing as God sees it.

It encompasses both practical, skillful living, and divine Knowledge. 

It implies seeing beyond appearances to understand the essence of things. It means to have understanding for righteous godly living in the Lord's will.

Beloved, I have often said, God's will is in His word. 

When God calls us to rest, it means you have peace knowing that God is working on our behalf. That is what gives us rest. 

Rest calms the body and mind while we go about our day, knowing that God has gone before us.

His timing is perfect, when we are led by the Holy Spirit.

In God's rest, we find peace, and a calm sweet spirit. People will see that we are different, not better, but different. 

God's light shines on us.

Beloved, learn to rest and be at peace in all circumstances. Praise the Lord and thank Him for loving you and caring for you.

Cling to Jesus, He is our peace, He is our rest.

This whole message shouts ABIDE to me from John 15! I have never seen a grape 🍇 hanging onto the vine for dear life. It merely ABIDES and the vine hangs on to the grape. ABIDE in the vine!! Amen 🙏 Great Word 👍 👌 🙌

WHEN INDIFFERENCE ENDS, THAT IS WHEN LOVE BEGINS.

  Don't look for love to come to you, instead, look  where you can give it. Galatians 5:13 For you brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. If you have been buried with Christ in baptism and raised in new life, then stop looking at the old you. Give the love that you always wanted to experience before you met Jesus. That unconditional love. If you noticed while reading the gospels that Jesus went out of His way to show the Fathers love, to provide what real love looks like. Sinners flocked to hear the good news of the gospel. They felt the love. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ARE WE USING THE AUTHORITY AND WEAPONS, JESUS HAS GIVEN TO US?

Beloved, sometimes we allow things to enter our life, that we need to use our spiritual authority and our weapons on to get free to do the works of the Lord. John 14:12-13 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that My Father may be glorified in the Son. When we are attacked,  We must start using the authority and the weapons that we have in the Lord.
