CAN WE LEARN LESSONS FROM NOAH'S ARK? HE HAD ONE WINDOW THAT LOOKED TOWARD HEAVEN.
Noah was not to set his eyes on all the misery and destruction that was going on.
Yes, we can learn from Noah. There was a reason he and his family were not to see the misery taken place.
So why do we fill our minds with all the destruction taken place in our world?
Psalm 101:3-4
I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me; I will not know wickedness.
Why does seeing the wicked things cause us to fall away?
Because we have now filled our mind with the lies and deceptions in the world.
We are to renew our mind, not pollute it!!
When we feed on the worlds news, more than feeding on God's word, we will not hear the Spirit of God direct us to the good things in our new born again life.
Matthew 24:11-14
Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
And the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, then the end will come.
Matthew 24:36
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
When we spend a lot of time viewing the news, and neglect prayer and God's word, We can be deceived. What we fill our mind with is important, because it goes into our memory bank.
In order to be deceived, the enemy mixes a little truth with a lie.
The snare is that we see the little truth and thinks its ok, when in fact it is poison, DEADLY.
When God told Noah to put a window at the top of the ark, it was so that they could not view what was happening.
Genesis 6:14-22, read the whole account.
Genesis 7:1
Then the Lord said to Noah, "come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.
God tells Noah and his family to COME into the ark, He didn't say GO into the Ark. That sounds like Jesus was with Noah in the Ark.
That speaks to us that Jesus is our ark, He is there with us in all our trials and tests, because He lives inside of us.
The Holy Spirit gives us wisdom that we need to survive through our trials. They make us strong to face any storms ahead.
Jesus invites us to come into His kingdom. The good news is there is time to repent and follow Jesus.
When you realize that Jesus paid for all our sins, and believe that he has new life and peace for us. Just like Noah and his family that had a new life to build on. New structures. Everything new and different. Think about that.
When we are born again of God's Spirit, the old has passed away, things become new.
We are to renew our mind.
2Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold all things have become new.
If you are holding on to old things let them go!
That way the new can take their place.
With a renewed mind we will obey the Lord, because of His great love for us. Great blessings are ahead.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
