WALKING ON THE ROAD TO EMMAUS WITH HEAVY HEARTS. PART 2.

Beloved, times are ahead of us, just like the disciples on the road to Emmaus.

Times when we also will have a heavy heart from things that disappoint us.

Times when we believed or thought we did, until our world was shattered.

Do we look for Jesus at a time when He seems to not be there? He is always there.

Jesus loved those disciples and wanted to teach them about Himself.

Beloved, reread the account of the Road to Emmaus.

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you something you might have missed that is just for you.

Something personal that will help you grow in your understanding of the account about Emmaus.

Remember that these disciples only saw Jesus as a prophet.

Inviting Jesus into their house was the key to seeing Jesus as Lord.

As He broke bread with them then and only then were their eyes opened.

When Jesus opened their eyes that He is the risen Lord, it changed their perspective and gave them joy and peace. They were no longer heavy hearted.

They couldn't wait to get back to Jerusalem and share with the other disciples.

While they all were there in Jerusalem, Jesus appeared to them.

Can you see the message here from God's word?

After we invite Jesus into our heart house, then and only then, will He reveal that He is our Savior and Lord.

Remember God's word is like a mirror. It reflects the fact that Jesus is right there beside us. We are never alone.

When God leads us beside still waters, They are like a mirror and will reflect Jesus' image as well as our own. That is the place where He restores our soul.

Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.

If you noticed, when Jesus started teaching the disciples, He fed them His word first. Then He would restore their soul from the spirit of heaviness.

He does the same for us. He makes us lie down in green pastures. He feeds us His word first.

Sheep eat well in green pastures. After they have eaten, then they are ready to be led to the still waters, that's like a mirror, revealing a reflection of Jesus and you.

Now Jesus will restore your mind, will and emotions.

Beloved, reread the whole account of Emmaus, you will be blessed.

Ask the Holy Spirit to give you something special just for you to apply to your life.

Luke 24:13-50.

God bless your day

Jesus Loves you

I never thought about this - "Inviting Jesus into their house was the key to seeing Jesus as Lord. As He broke bread with them then and only then were their eyes opened." That's a powerful truth for us to consider in terms of hospitality as well - inviting people into our house and eating with them could be the moment where our guests recognize Jesus as Lord.

How very important that we allow Jesus to be Savior AND Lord. We need the "whole package"" from Him!
