WHAT IS PRAYER? IT IS A HEART FELT COMMUNICATION WITH GOD. PART 2.

What is a fervent prayer, that James reminds us of.

A fervent prayer is a passionate sincere calling out to God.

It can be for repentance, or for thanksgiving, or any situation you find yourself facing.

James 5:16

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Sometimes there are no words to express what we feel about what is happening.

Thank God the Holy Spirit will intercede for us.

Romans 8 :26-28

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses.  For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

And we know that ALL things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Remember beloved, we have a supernatural means to take over the things we cannot handle.

Just call out to Jesus and say I give this to you. He will bring good out of it.

Question? Does God ever change His mind? (Relent)

Sometimes He does, read the story of Jonah.

Jonah 3:4-10. Read it all.

Moses interceded for Israel,  Exodus 32:12

Hezekiah's life extended. 2 Kings 20:5-6.

You will see because of His mercy the Lord did change His mind, God's nature never changes, but He has relented. He is God Almighty and He can do as He pleases.

We can see demonstrations all through God's word of His mercy and compassion on those who repent and return to the Lord.

Some of our prayers are answered in a day, or month or years, but they are answered.

His great love for us all, is shown by His mercy and grace for us.

When there is repentance, (A change of mind and actions) good will follow.

God doesn't need to hear fancy words, He needs to hear heart felt words.

He knows you and loves you, so run into the arms of God and let Him minister His love to you. It all starts when entering the throne room in boldness and having assurance of His love.

Beloved, pray God's word, it is alive and powerful. Jesus used it in His temptation trial in the wilderness.

He was led by the Spirit to go through all those temptations. (Think on this Matthew 4:1)

It is a great example for us to follow. Pray the name of Jesus, and pray His word, you not only will see changes take place because the Holy Spirit is active in our life, but we will grow in the love of the Lord.

Prayer is talking to your Lord, from your heart.

God Bless your day

Jesus loves you.
