DO WE UNDERSTAND WHAT BIBLICAL HOPE IS?

It is not the same meaning that the world uses, when they hope and say they hope for this or that to happen. 

There is doubt and fear connected to their thinking.

Biblical Hope is a gift to us from our Lord.

Jesus is our hope. Faith, hope and love are gifts from God to His children.

Romans 15:13

Now may the God of HOPE fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit. 

  • In playing around with the word HOPE, I came up with the thing that says it all.
  • Heaven Offers Promised Emmanuel.
  • Jesus is our hope.
When we think of Hope, we should think of Jesus.

Romans 5:1-5
Therefore having been justified by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in HOPE of the glory of God.
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character; and character, HOPE.
Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Beloved, when we go through our darkest trials, Hope is still there, it is Jesus.
When we get discouraged and disappointed, hope is there.
When no one seems to care, hope is there.
Hope even sings when we cannot remember the melody. 
Hope is always listening when no one is speaking.
Because the Holy Spirit is filling us daily, He gives us hope to lean on.
God's kind of reassurance is Godly hope.
Psalms 71:14
But I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more.

God's kind of hope causes us to praise the Lord.

Psalms 119:114
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.
We hope in God's word. Knowing that it is truth.

Ephesians 1:18
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of the inheritance in the saints, 
(The glory is the radiance of God's character)

Do we know the hope of His calling in our life?

Romans 12:10-12
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in HOPE patient in tribulation, continuing steadfast in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

Our faith in God's word is our assurance of things hoped for, we have a living HOPE.
The resurrection of Jesus is our hope to have eternal life.
Beloved, it is ok to hope the biblically way.
Because our HOPE is Jesus,
there are some believers hoping for things that they already have in Jesus.
It is all in His word. Jesus is the word. Jesus is our HOPE!

JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. PREPARING FOR WHAT IS AHEAD OF US, AND TRUSTING GOD IN IT ALL.

  How do we prepare for what's ahead of us? By doing all that God's word has told us to do. We prepare for things that will effect us and our neighbors in the natural.  Natural first, then the spiritual. Pray for wisdom on what you are to do and purchase. Be prepared for emergencies of any kind. Weather, earthquakes, fires, war. Look at your brothers and sisters in other  countries, that were not prepared when disaster struck them. Pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters. Pray for all ministries that are doing God's will. Have food, water, medical supplies.  Have a resource for light.    Have some  candles, flash lights and oil lamps, new batteries. Usually the women do the preparing. Men are out working their jobs.
