UNCOMFORTABLE AND BEING FRUITFUL, OR COMFORTABLE AND BEING COMPLACENT. PART 2

We see in 1st Timothy that he had to come out of his comfort zone to be leader of the church in Ephesus.

1 Timothy 1:3-5

As I urge you when I went to Macedonia- remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith.

We find Paul well advanced in his years here.

He leaves young Timothy in charge of the church at Ephesus, that has had some real problems.

1Timothy 1:18-20

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, of whom are Hymenaeus  and Alexander, who I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

You see Beloved, who has the authority over Satan after the resurrection.

We believers do.

He can be used like a whip. We have the authority God has given to us through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Timothy is to help develop good leadership in the church.

He is learning to pick up where Paul left off, and there has been some real problems of false teaching.

Timothy had to depend on the Holy Spirit to guide him through all the obstacles that are before him. (uncomfortable)

See Beloved, Timothy had to get out of his comfort zone and push forward.

He had to experience some uncomfortable times.

He knew that his spiritual father Paul was depending on him.

There is a time for rest and be comfortable, when we go before the Lord in prayer.

Don't ever try to handle things yourself, let God bring you through with His wisdom.

If He brought you to it, He will bring you through it.

Be fruitful and obedient and you will experience great blessings.

When we are NOT comfortable, is when the Holy Spirit is working in and through us. We have no choice but, to depend on God.

Philippians 2:12-13

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Beloved, you can only work out what you have put in through the word of God, and faith in believing that word.

We will have peace and rest  for our soul, when we are doing the will of God, there will be much fruit.

The will of God is to obey the Holy Spirit.

God bless your day

Jesus loves you

One thing I still struggle with every day, to let the Holy Spirit guide me, and trust that he is guiding all of those I care about. Such great Biblical verses to remind us that so many saints who followed Jesus also struggled, but remained faithful❤️Thank you Lord for the examples of these lives🙏
