WE ALL HAVE THEM, OUR UPS AND DOWNS IN OUR LIFE IN JESUS.

When reading God's word we see that there are times we will experience some mountain top experiences. Feeling elated and so close to God.

However, what we don't realize is that we cannot stay there, we must come down into the valley.

It is in the valley that we learn to walk by faith and trust the Lord.

We will have afflictions at times.

1Thessalonians 3:3-4

that no one should be shaken by these afflictionsfor you yourselves know that we are appointed to this.

For in fact, we told you before when we were with you that we would suffer tribulation, just as it happened, and you know.

Our greatest growth in the Lord is because of the valley experience. Those down times.

When we learn to trust God's word and obey it.

On the mountain top we will experience the supernatural, we feel such a closeness with Jesus. It's wonderful, we want to stay right there.

Matthew 17:1-3 (read the whole chapter)

Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James and John his brother, led then up on a high mountain by themselves, and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, His clothes became white as light.  And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.

But that is only a taste of heaven, we cannot stay there, we must go down into the valley.

The place of reality, where we will experience the life we must live.

Yes, there will be trials, afflictions, tribulations of all kinds to test our faith.

We will grow in the Lord and learn to trust all He has said in His word.

Faith will grow as we search the scriptures and learn more of our Lord.

We will learn what He expects from those who love Him and follow Him.

As a believer and follower of Jesus we will experience ups and downs.

Don't be so surprised when you feel elated one minute and down the next. It is our being human and feeling certain emotions that is its normal.

Peter, Paul and Timothy, Moses and Elijah experienced the same.

Timothy elated to be with Paul, yet Paul circumcises Timothy a grown man. (Acts 16:1-3)

Not, everything in our life in Jesus will be positive all the time. In spite of what some preaches say. God's word supersedes mans ideas.

In order to die more to self each day, we must accept the negative also.

We have many examples in the word of God.

With the positive and negative we will have power.

Elijah was elated after killing the prophets of Baal.(1Kings 18-1-39)

Then soon after, he was running for his life.

(1 Kings 19:3) Read it all.

Beloved, the bible is full of the mountain top experiences and the valley experiences.

Know your bible, see Jesus in every book.

See the way the others that were called of God, how they lived and what they had to endure, we believers are no different.

Proverbs 5:21

For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths.

Then the Lord decides if you will have a mountain top experience or a valley.

He will give us whatever will benefit us for our  spiritual growth.

God bless your day

Jesus loves you

Wow! I needed this today. And I know you wrote it just for me. How did you know. Love you, Rusty
Some of my richest learning experiences were "valley experiences"! In the valley is where we learn to incorporate what we received on the mountain! Faith in action! Great word, Mama Joy! ☺️
