WHAT DO WE UNDERTAND ABOUT ETERNAL AND EVERLASTING LIFE?

Eternal life has no beginning or end. We have a beginning  and no end.

John 17:3 (Jesus said)

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

This is part of the prayer Jesus prayed about His disciples.

So according to Jesus, Eternal or everlasting life (Same Greek word) is to know God.

Eternal life is so much more than we think it is.

Jesus sacrifice on the cross provided eternal life for us.

Jesus mentions eternal life 18 times.

Since Father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit live inside of us, we are always living in our eternal life.

1John 5:13

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, that you may continue to believe in the Son of God.

Beloved, we have eternal life working through us right now, that is, if you have received Jesus as you Savior and Lord. 

In everything we do, eternal life is working through us.  God's righteousness and holiness will be evident in our words and actions.

1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

A good fight is one you are winning. Keep your faith, that is your trust in Jesus in all you encounter.

The idea is, that we have eternal life working through us right now.  

Its more than going to heaven and not hell, it is life inside of us making a difference in this world.

We must be intimately acquainted with Jesus for that power and life to manifest.

Is Jesus more important than the things of this world? Does He have first place in your life?

In Romans 6:4 we are told to walk in the newness of life that Jesus has provided.

Bottom line is, Jesus is eternal life.  It all boils down to this, Do you truly know Jesus, or do you just know religious things to do?

You must be intimately acquainted with Him!!

Yes, works are important, we were saved to do good works, but we do not get saved by good works. Only by the blood of Jesus.

Works are a byproduct of our being in Jesus and He in us. Eternal life operating in us at all times.

So, if you know God then you have eternal life.

The day that my life intersected with the Cross, I entered Eternal Life! Hallelujah, and it has and will never end! God put Eternity in our hearts so that we could be with Him Eternally ❤️

WHY DOES GOD ALLOW OFFENCES TO COME INTO OUR LIFE? PART 2

How do we deal with offences that we have experienced? Proverbs 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends. So, how do we deal with an offence, we cover it with the grace of God and love. Just as God does for us when we are  displeasing to Him. When we cover an offence with God's grace we overlook it and choose to give something of value to ourselves, Peace and rest for our soul. SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God.
