IS YOUR SERVICE A RELIGIOUS OBLIGATION OR DUTY TO PLEASE OTHERS? PART 2

Beloved, when you feel obligated by too many things, it will weigh heavily on our heart, Jesus' burden is light, not heavy.

Doing something because we enjoy doing it, gives us joy and peace.

Colossians 3:17

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Never feel indebted for a favor, receive it as a gift from the Lord. Not an obligation to pay back.

We can fulfill our obligations after we have included Jesus and the Holy Spirit in our day.

Some things that we do religiously, can only just be a habit, our heart not in it. (Think on this)

God wants to introduce us to new people and things, so that we can do His will with joy.

Paul said that he was obligated or indebted to the Greeks and the Barbarians, both to the wise and the foolish.

Paul knew in order to fulfill His obligation to these people, that He must first spend time in prayer and listen to the Holy Spirt.

Romans 1:14

I am a debtor both to Greeks and to Barbarians, both to the wise and unwise.

In all of Paul's letters to the churches, He starts with grace and peace.

Beloved, this reveals to us that we are to walk in grace and peace.

Grace, being unmerited favor,  your can not earn it, and peace, JESUS IS OUR PEACE.

John 16:33

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Ephesians 2:14

For in Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace.

Paul was reminding the Ephesians, that the Jews and Gentiles were now one in Jesus Christ.

The Hebrew word for peace is Shalom.

It means a state of prosperity, harmony, well being, it is a manifestation of God's divine grace.

You should feel an obligation to be at peace.

You have it, listed in the the Fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23

Love, comes first, that gives us joy, then comes peace.

Beloved, enjoy your calling, and serve with gladness. Be at peace.

Fulfill your obligations with joy.

God bless your day

Jesus loves you

Love in Jesus

David and I were just talking about this yesterday about how you can tell when you’re doing God‘s will because you have such a peace and such a joy it’s not a burden. It’s total joy and excitement. It’s taken us a long time to learn this, and we’re still learning daily, but praise God we aren’t where we used to be glory to God in the heavens. ❤️❤️❤️
Unfortunately, many have learned to "do their duty" and end up becoming stale and stifled because of the overall drudgery of "going to the well" one more time for the team! We must seek the Lord for leading and guidance and do what He says! Jesus said, "I do what I see mt Father doing". So, should we! Great word, Mama Joy!
