BUILDING OUR FAITH AND TRUST IN THE LORD'S FAITHFUNESS.
It builds our faith when we remember how the Lord brought us through hard times.
Times that we hadn't a clue, how we would get through them.
1 Corinthians 1:9
God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
2 Timothy 2:13
If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
We are to forget those things behind as Paul said, but we are not to forget the blessings that came after our trial.
Philippians 3:1
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.
As we move forward in our day that God has given to us, we are to take the time to remember God's faithfulness and thank Him.
We will encounter detours, and roadblocks, obstacles along the way, but God has gone before us to prepare our way.
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
The children of Israel constructed memorials, to remind them of the Lord's faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.
I love the song, Great is thy faithfulness.
Those memorials are all through God's word.
Do you have a memorial to remind you of God's faithfulness?
Something that you can look at and be reminded
that God is always faithful?
I do.
For me, my memorial is my mirror. I can look in the mirror and see God's faithfulness.
I see that I am still here serving the Lord and teaching His children through the leading of the Holy Spirit.
David, encouraged himself in the Lord, we should do the same.
Every time we look into the mirror, declare God's word over yourself. "I am the righteousness in Christ Jesus my Lord.
Jesus lives in me, and I have all I need in Him.
He is always faithful, because of His great love for us.
When you encounter trials that seem unsurmountable, remind yourself of all the times that God brought you through.
Psalm 36:5
Your mercy O Lord, is in the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
Beloved, take time to remember the times you thought, you would never make it through the day, yet God in His mercy showed up just in time.
