UNDERSTANDING WHAT OUR HOPE IS AS BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST.

 Our hope is not a wish, it is a definite assurance based on God's goodness and the word of God.

1Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

We hear believers say "I sure hope that happens,

Their speech betrays them, as it has some doubt mixed into it. That's the worlds hope, not ours.

James 1:5-8

If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything thing from the Lord;  he is double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

The hope that we have is sure, backed by the Word of God and His goodness, mercy and grace.

Psalm 147:11

The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him,  in those who hope in His mercy.

The believers hope is an expectation, something we look forward to.  For we are confident in our God and in His goodness, faithfulness and love.

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,  for He who promised is faithful.

Beloved, place your hope in the Lord, expect His goodness.  When you pray expect a positive outcome, knowing that God has your best interest in mind.

Ephesians 3:20

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Always anticipate God's intervention, when you don't know how you will come out of this trial.

Know that you will see the goodness of the Lord manifest for you.

Romans 15:13

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Beloved,  it takes patience to hope in God's faithfulness, because things happen and we start to lose our expectation,  but Jesus is our hope and we cannot lose Him.

No matter how bad things may seem, expect a positive outcome, because by the power of the Holy Spirit you will see good.

We must have faith in our God, because He is our hope.

Here are some acronyms for hope. They will help us remember.

1. Have only positive expectations.

2. Holding onto promises eternal.

3. Helping others prepare for eternity.

Romans 8:24-25

For we were saved in this hope,  but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one hope for what he sees?

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Hope in the Lord, and have faith that He knows what you are going through and you will see His hand in it to bring good.

Romans 5;1-5

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,  through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character , hope.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Jesus is our Hope!! Hope in the Lord expecting the best that God has for you.

How funny just woke up this AM saying the word expecting!!! God wants us to look for His glory and His good in ALL things. To God be all the glory honor and praise. ❤️❤️❤️

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us.
