TAKING UP OUR WEAPONS AND USING THE AUTHORITY THAT GOD HAS GIVEN TO US.

 Father God, paid a dear price of His Son to make certain that we had the authority and the power to live our lives for Jesus our Lord.

Luke 10:19-20

Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Nevertheless do not rejoice in this,  that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

Beloved, Jesus told us that when we hear of wars and rumors of wars, raging seas, storms, and earthquakes, Rejoice our redemption draws near.

How can we rejoice if we allow fear and anxiety to enter our mind? Concerned about those who have died.

This is where faith in God's word comes in.

1Thessalonians 4:13-14

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep. lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

We are not to fear, but we are to be ready at all times, and if we are too attached to this world and its system, God will shake our world to cause us to let go of the things that do not matter.

There are no U-Hauls behind a hearse.  We came in naked and we go out the same way.

Beloved, the authority that God has given to us is to be used when we feel overwhelmed, and anxious. Those emotions and feeling can be of the enemy attempting to place fear in our mind.

Use the weapons God has given you.  His word.

He fought the enemy with the Word of God, we should also use the sword of the Spirit and defeat those negative fearful thoughts.

We have weapons that are not natural, but they are powerful and spiritual. 

The blood of Jesus, and the Word of God (which is the sword of the Spirit) and our testimony of how God saved us and filled us with His Spirit and changed our life.

Always introduce scripture when sharing, because that is where the life is, in the word of God.

Be prepared  to have everything in your life shaken. Only what is of God will remain.

Hebrews 12:26- 29

whose voice then shook the earth;  but now he has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also heaven. 

 Now this once more indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken remain.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace acceptably with reverence and Godly fear.  For our God is a consuming fire.

Things that are made speaks of all the things that we use in our daily lives.  We are never to set our heart on them, because our heart belongs to Jesus, not our things.

We are told in Ephesians 6, to take up the armor of God.  Take it up and use it. 

If you study the pieces of armor you will see that Jesus has already clothed us, with Truth, righteousness, and Salvation.

Jesus said that He is the truth. He gave us His righteousness, and He saved us with His sacrifice.  Do you have Jesus?  then you are clothed with the armor.

We have the responsibility to use the Word of God which is the sword of the Spirit. 

Make certain we have our feet ready to go places to share the gospel.

Praying always in the Spirit because that keeps us in the love of God. 

Because we will run into those those persons that will argue with you because of their pride.

Jude 1:20-21

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most Holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Beloved, it is time that we use the authority that has been given to us, stop being spectators and start being participates, the blood bought children of God.

Doing all that His word has told us to do.  We are the Kings kids and we need to start revealing the power and authority that we have in Jesus.

As the world gets darker, we will shine brighter.

Remember having this power does not make us better, but it sure does make us different.

We are set apart to be used of God.

The Holy Spirit wants to do a work in our life, so that we don't just act like a Christian, and become one of the actors, but instead of acting like a Christian, BE ONE!

There will be evidence in our life that we have been with Jesus.

Beloved, we are the salt of the earth, the flavor, preservative, and light in the darkness.

Don't allow your gifting's to lay dormant.  Like the ten foolish virgins, be ready and use you gifts that God has placed in you. 

Be well equipped to meet the need. Cast out demons, heal the sick, provide for needs both physical and spiritual.

Do what God has called us to do.  We have the Holy Spirit inside, He will direct us and impower us to do the work of the ministry.

Romans 8:11-14

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead  dwells in you,  He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through the Spirit which dwells in you.

Therefore brethren, we are debtors--not of the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

For if you live according to the flesh (that old sinful nature) you will die;  but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.

God's word makes it clear, we are to submit to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to do the work in us.

So beloved, use the armor God has given to you, take it up and be ready for whatever comes your way.

Like my Spiritual mom told me, remember the bride of Christ has combat booths under that dress.

Mark 16:15-19

And He said, "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved;   but he who does not believe will be condemned.

And these signs will follow those who believe;  In My Name they cast out demons;  they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents;  and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them,  they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

So then, after the Lord has spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

These were the last words from Jesus before ascending to heaven.

There is a time to be tender and gentle, but there is a time to be bold and direct, when dealing with what is not of God! Jesus did that.

He is our example to follow.

So, take up your armor and be ready to use it.
