IS GOD GIVNG THE CHURCH A WAKE-UP CALL?

When the church has been asleep or just at ease, life is still going on.  The church is a living body.

Look around you and see how fast things are changing in this world we live in.

Psalm 7:9-10

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end.  But establish the just;

For the righteous God tests their hearts and minds.  My defense is of God,  who saves the upright in heart.

I see in God's word that in order for there to be spiritual growth, we must keep our eyes and heart on Jesus and feed on His word.

This will provide spiritual change in our life for that to occur, you must have your mind on Jesus and His love for you.

Philippians 4:6-8

Be anxious for nothing,  but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,  let your request be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,  will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren,  whatever things are true, whatever things are noble,  whatever things are just,  whatever things are pure,  whatever things are lovely,  whatever things are of a good report, if there is any virtue and anything praise worthy-meditate on these things.

I can't express strong enough how important it is to read this over and over, and let the Holy Spirit speak to you. 

Stop! filling your mind with the worlds lies.  Fill it with God's word.

We have seen God move in a mighty way,  a great awaking is taking place.  New souls by the thousands are being added to the church body.

I pray that they will receive discipling and love and care.  Otherwise they could fall by the wayside.

Matthew 13:18-22 (Jesus speaking)

"Therefore hear the parable of the sower:

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom,  and does not understand it,  then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.  This is he who received seed by the wayside.  

But he who received the seed on stony places,  this is he who hears the word and immediately receives with it with joy;  yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while.  For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

Now he who receives seed among thorns is he who hears the word,  and the cares of this world and deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Beloved, new babes in Christ must be discipled, and cared for or they could fall into what Jesus had to say in the parable of the seed.

Those of you who are more mature in the Lord,  need to step out of your comfort zone and disciple these new babes coming into the kingdom.

They don't need a lot of religion, (what you have to do to please God) they need the love and care of someone coming along side of them and teaching them Gods word.  Showing them that they are loved. teach them that sin will lead to misery.

Start them off in the book of John.  Where they will see a loving Savior named Jesus.

I am thrilled about the church body having new babes and I am sure you are also. 

So pray that God will send ministering angels or messengers to them.

God is doing a new thing. It is a wake-up call.

Isaiah 43:18-19

Do not remember the former things,  Nor consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing.  Now it shall spring forth;  Shall you not know it?  I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (This has happened in Israel)

Since we are grafted into them, we will see the same thing spiritually.

Our wilderness is a life without following Jesus. Dry and empty, confusing and painful.

We need the living water that God provides for us. 

Jesus is our living water in our wilderness.

He sometimes takes us down unpaved roads and there will be obstacles,  stay alert and you will not stumble.  Be filled with God's word.

John 7:37-38

"If anyone thirsts,  let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said,  out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.

God is doing a new thing in all believers lives.

Our hearts cry out "Come Lord Jesus"  that is our cue to get out of His way because He will move in and through us to reach the hurting and lost.

We think come quickly Lord Jesus and get us out of here.  Then God reminds us that we have a purpose for being here.  There is still work to be done.  

It is time to let go of the things that have no lasting value, and cling to the things of eternal value. Souls for God's kingdom!

Beloved,  things are going to get worse in this old world system.  Be prepared for what is to come.

2Chronicles 16:9 (God was speaking to Asa king of Judah)

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth,  to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.  

In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.

Beloved, the world is under siege.  But we are not of the world,  so our help comes from the Lord.  He is our source.

Psalm 121:5 

The Lord is your keeper;  The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

1Thessalonians 5: 4 (Read all of this chapter 1-27)

But you,  brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.  You are sons of light and sons of the day, we are not of the night nor of the darkness.

Praise God!! We are His, the Holy Spirit will notify us of what is to come, so have an ear to hear whatever He says to you.  

The Holy Spirit is always speaking to us.  We are the supernatural children of God.

We are told to work out our own salvation,

Philippians 2:12-13

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

Beloved, we can only work out that which has  been put in.  It is so important that we allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in us, then we will have something to work out.

God is working in us to do His will.

Yes, there is much coming that will strike fear in the heart of man in the world, but if you have prepared yourself as a good soldier, because we are in the Army of the Lord, you will not fear.

There is no fear in love, so walk in faith,  trusting in the Lord.

We have the mind of Christ and there is no fear there.

Be prepared for whatever comes and know God is in it, He is Lord and He will provide for His own.

Yes, God is giving the church a wake-up call.

It has been caught into idolatry, programs, entertainment, and games, suppers instead of prayer meetings.

Do we put God's word first, or do we check our social media? Prayer and the word of God should come first.

Idolatry is anything that takes the place that belongs to God.  The Lord is to be number one!!

His word should be priority in our life.

 We are the church a living temple of God. 

Shake yourself and be alert and be prepared for whatever is next. 

God is still in control of His church, the body of Christ, not the building.

We are the church that sometimes meet in a building.
