WE ARE TO BE WISE IN WHAT IS GOOD, AND SIMPLE IN WHAT IS EVIL.

For us to be wise in what is good, we must first find out in the word of God what is good to God.

Romans 16:17-19

Now I urge you brethren, note those who cause divisions and offences, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

For those who are of such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

For your obedience has become known to all.  Therefore I am glad on your behalf, but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.

To be wise concerning evil, we must use the wisdom God has given us.  We are to see things as God sees them. That is true wisdom.

There are those who spend a lot of their time giving Satan the attention he wants.

I went to a church once that began their service by binding the devil before they had prayed to God and worshipped the Lord.

They were upset because their speakers plane had been delayed at the airport.

I was very upset, got up went outside and sat on the bench and talked to Jesus about it.

I prayed and asked the Lord if I should leave, and I heard in my spirit, not yet. 

That was many years ago.

I know we have an enemy, and I know we are told in Gods word, that he is seeking whom he may devour.  Not who he can devour.

He is a liar, seducer, counterfeiter, deceiver, and murderer and the accuser and much more.

Beloved, we have the power over him with the blood of Jesus. We have the authority to use the name of Jesus and His blood.

I had a dream about that issue, there was a button on a wall that said do not touch.  Being a female and curious, I touched the button.  Satan's face came up and he said I finally got you. My spirit rose up and I said "Satan the blood of Jesus," I said it three times and the face on the wall turned into a yellow piece of construction paper.

Two weeks later I was invited to speak at the woman's prison. When I got there, there were trouble makers on the back row, I had the whole group stand to their feet and repeat, Satan the blood of Jesus, three times, and God quieted those ladies down. I was able to minister life, love and hope to that group and forgiveness.

1Peter 5:8-9

Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.  

Resist him steadfast in the faith,  knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

2 Timothy 1:23-26

But avoid foolish and ignorant  disputes, knowing that they generate strife.  And a servant  of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

I hear from those who love the Lord, say often, Satan is a liar, and that is true, but there are some things in our life that are not done by Satan, yet he gets the attention he craves by the mouth of true believers who love the Lord.

JESUS IS LORD AND SAVIOR!!

There are many things that happen in our life, that are caused by us or something else just because we live in a sinful world.

When we continue to give Satan the glory that belongs to our Lord Jesus, all we do is make Satan bigger than he is the believers life.

What we end up doing is drawing the enemy into our situation.  

Every time something is upset or delayed we begin to think it must be the enemy. Might be, but then it might not be!

I have an old cassette tape about a church member who went outside and found the devil sitting on the curb all upset.  The guy asked him why are you so upset?  The devil said, those Christians are blaming me for everything that has gone wrong, and I haven't had a chance to get in there yet.

Beloved, always put Jesus first, yes we must be wise in what is good and simple in what is evil.

Ephesians 4:25-27

Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth to his neighbor." for we are members of one another.  "Be angry, and do not sin" do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

Nor give place to the devil.

This statement in God's word tells you plainly, don't give place to the devil.

The enemy is listening to our words, always looking for an entrance, a crack in the door of our steadfast faith.

Beloved, don't give a thought to the enemy, if he is stupid enough to show up deal with Him with the blood of Jesus.

 JESUS IS LORD OF OUR LIFE! We are in Him and He is in us, that's the power of God.

1John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them,  because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Learn to give God thanks for all things and in all things. (Ephesians 3:20 and 1Thessalonians 5:18)

As soon as we praise the Lord, we will sense a release in our spirit, and God's peace will flood your soul.

Remember that we have  a great cloud of witnesses cheering us on.

When you are viewing every evil thing in the world, your mind will be fed all the lies and deception that this world has to offer. 

Ask yourself, how much time do I waste on the world news and evil things going on?  It will rob you of your peace.

How much time do you spend in God's word and prayer?  Yes, we need to know some things in the world so that we will know what to pray, but we are not to have a constant feed going on of their evil.  

It will keep you from seeing the good of God and magnify the evil.  Be simple in what is evil.

Let your heart and mind rest in the peace of God.  

Go take a neighbor to lunch and share the love of Jesus, ask them how you can pray for them or provide something they need, that's why we are here. Love thy neighbor as thy self.

Someone out there needs to hear the good news of the salvation we have been given. Do what Jesus said, GO! Share His life and His redemption story, it will change a life.

People are waiting for some good news and we have it. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, He is waiting for us to be the church!

Such a good lesson in how to look at the devil and his bad works in this world, I never thought of looking at it this way! Help me Lord to remember this great advice from Joy to be "Wise in what is good, and simple in what is evil." Also thank you Joy for the beautiful Bible Verses🙏💛😇

Good Word. Our instructions are to resist him, which means to stand fast and stay focused on our assignments from the Lord, because all the enemy wants for us to do is get distracted and do something - anything - other than what God has called us to do. If we don't quit, the enemy has no power. \o/

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong.
