THE WORLD, THE FLESH AND THE DEVIL. Part 1

 There are three powers in this world that try to enslave us as Christians.

Ephesians 2:1-6

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the coarse of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air,  the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we once conducted ourselves in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others, BUT GOD who is rich mercy, because of His great Love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

These scriptures reveal to us that the world, the flesh, and the prince of the power of the air (Satan) are what we are to guard against in our life on this earth.

When  it speaks of the flesh, it is not speaking of our body which was made in God's image as it was good.

It is however, speaking of our old sinful nature because of the fall of Adam.

Romans 6:12-13

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

Beloved, we do have in the fruit of the Spirit, self-control. (Galatians 5:22-24)

Guard your hearts and mind against these enemies, that will try to enslave us.

1John 5:18-19

We know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but he who is born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

We know that we are  of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

Beloved, guard yourselves daily from those three traps.

I needed this today!!! Thank You Lord for this timely message. May we all keep this in the front of our minds daily. The enemy is working overtime right now big time. But!!!! We know You are greater and Your word is life and brings us through All things. Woo hoo!!

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God. Just speaking His name, we inhale YAH and exhale WEH.   YHWH means breath of life. Our Jewish brothers and sisters know the name of God means breath of God. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD!!  YOU ARE NOT TO COMMAND HIM,  YOU ARE TO ASK HIM, HONOR HIM, AND RESPECT HIM AND HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.  I have heard some believers young in their faith and understanding, say that they have prayed for such a thing and God will give it to them. They are trusting in their faith, not their faith in God. (Works of the flesh, which is witchcraft) Witchcraft is attempting to manipulate your environment or circumstances. (SELF) Works of the flesh. Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
