THE SIMPLICITY THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS.
We hear so many different things about our faith today.
People have much to say and sometimes they use big words that the average unlearned person has to ask, "what does that mean"?
2Corinthians 11:2-3
For I am jealous for you with Godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chased virgin to Christ.
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the SIMPLICITY that is in Christ.
Some religious people are doing their best to make following Jesus a difficult thing.
Just like the Pharisees of Jesus day.
We are told by Jesus that we are to believe Him and His words. These things are our works. Simple.
John 6:28-29
Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?"
Jesus answered and said, This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."
Simple.
Jesus made it clear to us that the gospel is good news that He provides. It is not something we earn or are adding to. It is a gift!
Years ago a missionary at our home made a statement that has stuck with me through the years.
He said "keep things simple, as that is what Jesus did."
Once we become a believer, then and only then, do we have a part in our new birth.
We are to obey God's word, take time and really study about our Lord and all that He has provided for us as His children.
When we sin, be quick to repent, and move forward.
Sin is to miss the mark, Repent is to be sorry for that sin and change your mind about it.
1John 2:1
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
Jesus paid for all our sin.
Let the Holy Spirit reveal anything that is out of order in your walk.
Even what the Holy Spirit imparts to us, we can understand. SIMPLE!
Remember that spending time with Jesus and in His word, will reveal that you have been with Him.
Acts 4:13
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled, And they realized that they had been with Jesus. SIMPLE!
Everything the Holy Spirit teaches us is simple to understand. When we pray, ask the Lord to reveal to us the things we need to learn in our walk.
Can people see that you also have spent time with Jesus? and that you belong to a different kingdom? Not of this world.
Romans 14:17
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
We will run into obstacles along the way, but be assured that God has already made provision for us. God will help us and protect us.
Jesus called us children. Children are curious, and always learning, they can be selfish, and possessive, they have to learn to not be selfish and possessive.
There are times that they must be disciplined and corrected. For their own good.
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
There is a need for discipline in our lives, it is part of the training process. Making us more like Jesus.
God wants His children to honor Him by the way we live and reveal His love to others.
When correction is needed, we do it in the word of God and with love. Putting ourselves in the disciples place.
Beloved, keep things simple so that no one will misunderstand your intentions or what you share.
Make certain they know they are loved, but being trained to be more like Jesus.
James 1:19-20
So my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Those of us who are in Christ Jesus our Lord are all connected.
We each one have our calling and God has equipped us for our assignment.
Never try to copy someone else, you will become miserable. Like a foot out of joint.
When we keep our own place and walk in our calling we will experience Joy, peace, and a rest for our soul.
We will become fruitful in all we do.
Keeping things simple.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
Love in Jesus
Joy
