SEEING OUR HIDDEN HEART ATTITUDES
Recently the Lord revealed something in my heart that I was not aware of. Something harmful to me.
He showed me that I was avoiding listening to certain brothers and sisters in the Lord who had fallen into sin years ago.
I was sure that I didn't have a judgmental spirit. I was wrong!
John 16:13-14
"However, when the Holy Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; He will tell you things to come.
He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine and declare it to you.
The Holy Spirit asked me why I avoided certain ministers, when they have repented and have been restored? Why was God's grace good enough for me and not them? OUCH!
I had seen my self-righteousness and judgmental spirit where they were concerned.
I asked God's forgiveness and thanked Him for allowing me to seen the crack in my door where the enemy could have an entrance and could have been harassing me.
I thanked the Lord for revealing this to me and thanked Him that Jesus paid for all my sins and mistakes, all my lack of love, He paid for it all.
Beloved, there are things hidden in our heart that we are not aware of yet.
When the time is right the Holy Spirit will reveal them to us.
They can and will stunt our growth in the Lord.
Why would I believe God's grace was enough for my life and not theirs?
We have to be careful of what we think as it can effect our spiritual growth.
Pride and self-righteousness can be hidden in our heart and we are not aware of it until the Holy Spirit reveals it to us.
I had not bad mouthed these brothers and sisters who had fallen years ago, but I did have a hidden place in my heart to avoid them.
Thank God the Holy Spirit revealed this to me.
2Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
For our light affliction which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Proverbs 4:20-23
My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
Beloved guard your heart. Do a spiritual check-up often and make certain that you are not holding bad thoughts about anyone.
God's grace is good enough for you, as it is for others.
We all have things in our heart and God allows us to grow to a certain place, then out of the blue the Holy Spirit who is our teacher will reveal something that we need to confront and deal with.
We don't realize that we give the enemy an entrance to our mind and life when we hold negative things in our heart towards others.
The enemy is always watching to see if we have given him and his imps an entrance.
A place where they can harass us.
Ephesians 4:31
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger and clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
God's word says He will complete that which He started in us.
Philippians 1:6
being confident of this thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Let his work begin.
BELOVED, KNOW THAT GOD'S GRACE IS FOR ALL OF US. His Mercy and compassion should be in our heart.
He is working on all of us.
God Bless Your day
Jesus loves you
