More of Jesus that we honor and worship at Christmastime.

Part 2

We are told by some, that Jesus is not in all the books of the bible.  Not true.

You can find Him or His nature in every book of the bible.

In Micah 5:2

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah,  Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be ruler in Israel, whose going forth are from of old, from everlasting.

Hosea 11:1

When Israel was a child, I loved him,  And out of Egypt I called My son.

Remember when Mary and Joseph had to flee to Egypt to protect the child Jesus because Herod wanted to kill Him?

This scripture applies to that time in Egypt. God called Jesus and His family out of Egypt when it was safe to return.

There are many examples for us to see Jesus in the Old Testament.

As you read God's word look for Jesus and His nature, you will see a picture that God has painted for you in the Word of God.

Not only is His birth in the Old Testament, (Isaiah 7:14) but His crucifixion, is mentioned.

Psalm 22 is all about the death of Jesus.  In this Psalm Jesus is suffering beyond anything we could endure.

Psalm 22:14

I am poured out like water, all my bones are out of joint;  My heart is like wax, It has melted within Me.

Psalm 22:18

They divided My garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.

Beloved, look for Jesus in all that you read in Gods word. Old and New Testaments.

He is there.

Like a mosaic, you can see the picture as you seek to see it.

Allow the Holy Spirit to reveal all that Jesus is and what He does and what He will do.

Look for the reason we add bells to our decorations.

It is because God told the priest to sew bells on the hem of their garments.

Exodus 28:33-34

And upon its hem you  shall make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet, all around the hem, and bells of gold between them all around.

Do you celebrate Jesus birth with bells?  This is why.  God Himself told the priests to put them on their hems of their garments.  That is reason enough to use bells to decorate.

They make the sound of celebration.

There is a beautiful legend, about the poinsettia flower.

A poor Mexican girl wanted to bring to church a gift for baby Jesus, and all she had picked were weeds, when she presented the weeds to baby Jesus they turned into a beautiful flower of blushed red.

The poinsettia that we decorate with represents Gods miracles.

Miracles that we can see all through the word of God.

So we have all that we decorate with, in the evergreen trees, lights, candles, wreaths, candy and bells and  the poinsettia flowers.  Even the garland is evergreen, speaks of life.

So Beloved, decorate and enjoy the Christmas season. Let joy fill your hearts.

Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your celebration, as we love and honor Jesus.

God Bless your day

Jesus loves you,

 Love in Jesus

Joy
