Trusting God's promises, backed by His faithfulness and His word.

Have you studied all the promises of God?

Of course not. Since there are said to be over 7000 through out the bible. Someone did a study years ago and said there were over 7000.

I have not found near that many, but will take the brothers word that there are.

2 Corinthians 1:20

For ALL the promises of God in Christ are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

What is the definition of the word promise?

Its a gift graciously bestowed to us by God for those who have received Jesus and believe His word.

A promise is a legally binding declaration that we have a right to expect the performance of, followed by a specific action.

It is a declaration or assurance that someone will do a particular thing.

Beloved, when God's word says ALL  the promises of God are yes, believe Him.

Because of God's great love for us, we have been given those promises.

Romans 8:37-39

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present not things to come, not height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sometimes it seems that God is silent, but that does not mean that He is absent. He is always here with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you.  Be not dismayed for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Psalm 16:11

You will show me the path of life;  In Your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

God promises to give us rest and take care of all our needs.

Philippians 4:19

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,  for He who promised is faithful.

Joshua 21:44-45

The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He swore to their fathers.  And not a man of all their enemies stood against them;  the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand.  Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel.  All came to pass.

We use to sing a song in church.

Every promise in the book is mine, every chapter, every verse every line.  Do we believe that?  Or was it just head knowledge and not heart experience.

Romans 8:28

For we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Since God's word is settled in heaven, we can count on what He has said and promised.

Psalm 119:89

Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.

God promises us, salvation in Christ Jesus if we will believe, He promises rest, hope, provision, health, good things to eat. (Psalm 103:5)

This not only applies to our food, but our words of encouragement and hope. Speaking the positive words of  life to bless others.

(Hebrews 4:12)

Speaking God's word carries great power.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.

He promised strength, healing, and wisdom.  He promised us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He promised that the Holy Spirit will teach us and show us the better way of life. God's way.

He is the Holy Spirit of promise.

Beloved, learn what God's promises are to you, and for you.  Apply by faith those things God says are yours.  Every promise belongs to you!

We miss out on so many blessings by not knowing they are there for us for the asking.

Study the promises of God, know what belongs to you today under the New Covenant.

Because of the sacrifice of Jesus we have so much more than they had in the old Covenant.  Yet there are many promises that are ours in the Old Covenant as well.

All of God's word is God breathed.  Inspired, anointed and full of wisdom and life.

All the promises in both the old and new belong to us in Christ.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Beloved, remember who you belong to, that you are no longer your own, but bought with the precious blood of Jesus.  We belong to Him. And all God's promises are ours.

God Bless your day

Jesus loves you

He upholds us with His righteous right hand. He will never let us go! Let us hold onto Him in return and strengthen that bond. When I read that verse, I picture lifting up my hand and Jesus reaching out, grasping my hand and pulling me out of the muck and negativity. I am so thankful for His promises of love!

As usual Joy, thanks for this reminder. I learned (from you!!) that when "God is silent, he is very busy." Those words have comforted me many times
