The great falling away into deception.

Are you worshipping the real Jesus, the Jesus of the bible, From Genesis to Revelation?

2Timothy 4:3-4

 the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Are your ears being tickled? Or are you challenged to live righteously and obey God's word, and accept correction?

Falling away involves, defection, abandonment, and  is rooted in rebellion.

Beloved, it is time to set our priorities in order.  Our number one focus is on the Jesus of the Bible, not another Jesus, but the Jesus of the word of God.

The Jesus of the entire world. The Savior and soon coming Judge.

Are you drifting away, is there something that you have put before God? Is it self, or popularity, finances or other cares of this world?

Too many of us have settled for a mixture of bible and new age.  It has been encroaching in the church for years. 

It will always point to self, not the Lord.  It is not about you, it is about Jesus.

That is how the enemy works.  Little by little the truth mixed with a lie. It sounds good and makes sense, but it is still the lie of the enemy.

Like with Eve, the devil pointed to her, "You shall not surely die"

Do we settle for what we hear, or are we like the Bereans who search the scriptures to see if what they heard are Gods words?

Acts 17:10-11

Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, when they arrived they went into the synagogue of the Jews.

These were more fair minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

Little by little there is compromise taking place in our minds. 

Too much media is forming in our minds, things like, what we should think and say or believe.

Some people who love Jesus and are saved are slowly being led into deception. 

In order to stay with the in-crowd, they compromise what they know to be in Gods word.

Too many Christians are making concessions to not offend.

Luke 17:1

Then He said to His disciples, It is impossible that no offences should come, but woe to him through whom they come.

Offences cause a great heaviness of heart.  When they come, and they will come, they will test our resolve to quickly forgive.

Offences war against our flesh, the flesh that needs to die daily, for when we allow an offence to remain in our soul it will take root and become bitterness. That will effect all we say and do.

Hebrews 12:15

looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, by this many become defiled;

Notice bitterness has a root and can grow.

In the great falling away there is much compromise, as others voice their opinions, opinions that do not line up with God's word.

Do not allow their opinions to impact the truth that you know.

Where there will be compromise, there will be no fruit. Roots are contaminated. Those roots of compromise and bitterness have to be uprooted.

Beloved, stand firm on Gods truth, do not stray from the path of life, that narrow path that Jesus spoke of.

1Corinthians 16:13

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave and be strong.  Let all you do be done in love.

Even correction can be done in such a way that it does not wound a soul, or cause confusion, when it is done with God's word and by someone who has the love of God in them.  

The Holy Spirit will work in the soul and help them to understand, and repent. (Change their mind)

We are not the Holy Spirit police.  That is God's work.

Beloved, ask the Lord to help you, when you come into a situation that you do not know what to do or say. He will give you the right words.  

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the issues of life.  Do not accept deception or the half truths going around that lead to deception.

We must stay focused on God’s word! Keep our eyes on Jesus! Study our Bible, pray continuously and stand firm!

Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us. THERE IS A CONNECTION BETWEEN FORGIVENESS, ENVY AND SIN IN THE HEALING OF OUR BODY.
