Experiencing God's manifest presence.

How do we experience God's manifest presence?

We experience God's presence when we worship from our heart and praise is on our lips, for the One who loves us unconditionally.

We find joy and rest in the presence of the Lord.

Exodus 33:14

And He said "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

When we put God our Father first in our life we will sense His manifest presence.

It will be evident in our speech, in our actions and reactions to stimuli around us.

The fact is, that God is around at all times whether we sense it or not.

There are special times that we do feel God's presence, but not all the time.

But when we do sense His presence it is clear and convincing that Jesus, through the Holy Spirit is right here, right now.

When we don't sense God's presence,  that is when we are temped to go off  the path that God gives us, the path to mature and bless us as we grow.

Anxiety, fear, anger, listening to lies of our enemy, will all come into play.

Like a little child, when mom says don't touch the cookie jar while I am gone.  The first thing the child does is head for the cookie jar, right?

Beloved, we do the same, when we have not made an effort to worship and praise the Lord, letting everything else come before our time with God, we also will find ourselves in the cookie jar so to speak. This will reveal what is in our heart.

Obedience or rebellion!

We have temptation thrown at us and we yield to that temptation when we don't sense the presence of God.

Something we know that is not good for us, yet we indulge in it anyway.

It can be too much media, or plain neglect of guarding your soul.  Filling up our minds with the worlds junk, lies and deceptions.

Remember, for there to be deception there must be some truth mixed with a lie. That is the snare.

Stay out of the worlds junk. Pray for them all to know Jesus.

It is so peaceful in God's presence, there is joy and rest to be had for the taking. A restoration, healing.

Psalm 140:13

Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name;  the upright shall dwell in Your presence.

Beloved, those that are in Christ Jesus are the righteous and upright and being righteous in Jesus we have so many privilege's. We are joint heirs.

We have the right to come boldly into the presence of God. Abba is always waiting for us with open arms.

Abba, is papa or daddy, the endearing expression we have for our Father God.

Remember the story of the prodigal son, the father was always looking for him, and when he saw him he ran to him.

Jesus revealed to us the Fathers heart for His children.

1Peter 1:8-9

whom having not seen you love.  Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.

It bubbles up in our soul and will cause us to rejoice.

IN GOD'S PRESENCE WE CAN HEAR HIS VOICE.  HE WILL SPEAK TO OUR HEART.

God hears every word we utter or think.

He is always ready to receive us because He loves us.

Bad things do happen to good people, it is important how those good people handle the bad things.

Do they thank God for all things? Do they look for the good that can and will come out of it?

Ephesians 5:20

giving thanks always for ALL things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Romans 8:28

And we know that ALL things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are THE called according to His purpose.

Beloved, seek the presence of God, go into His presence with thanksgiving and praise.  Worship Him. Experience His peace and rest in every area of your life.

God bless your day

Jesus loves you

Love in Jesus

Thank you Joy for this message. If you don't mind I am going to steal the "cookie jar" analogy for a message. Great analogy!
