A famine of the hearing of the word of God

 We have just come through a time of not really hearing God's word. 

Amos 8:11-12

"Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord God, "That I will send a famine on this land.

Not a famine of bread, nor water, But of the hearing the words of the Lord.

They shall wander from sea to sea And from the north to east;  they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, But shall not find it.

There is plenty of God's word out there, but the true gospel of Jesus Christ was left out.

The love and the grace of God was not preached, only by a select few was the true gospel of Jesus Christ preached, and most of them are already in heaven.

Praise God for the faithful remnant who have heard the word of God and acted upon it. Those who have remained faithful to our Lord.

Now since people have been shut in, some have begun to read and try to understand just where we are at and why all this happened to the world.

It was all part of a plan to control the worlds population.

Jesus told us this would happen, but we didn't have spiritual ears to hear, we were to busy with other things in the world.

Now the Holy Spirit is speaking loud and clear and some are heeding the voice of God. Those that were asleep are waking up to the importance and the power of the word of God.


God is using this season in our lives to wake us up to what is coming and He wants us prepared in our mind and heart.  

We are to stand firm in what we know in God's word and be faithful to our Lord at all times.

Paul said there is no good thing in our flesh. (Romans 7:18)

 Jesus said the flesh profits nothing. So why do we spend so much time and energy trying to fix things in the flesh? How can you fix something that is suppose to be dead? You can't.

John 6:63

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.  The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are life.


Beloved, God's word is life, we must understand that it is more than reading a few lines, it is life as we set our heart to understand our Lord and Savior.

 If we are born again of the Spirit of God we are dying daily to that flesh and listening to the words  of the Holy Spirit written in God's word. 

Colossians 3:1-4

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God.

Set your mind on things above, not on things  on the earth.  For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 

When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Beloved, God is using this season in our life as a renewal of faith and to keep our focus on the Lord.

We cannot change a thing, but we can Praise our God for the new souls coming in because they are receiving the true gospel of God's mercy and grace.

People need to see the Jesus of the word of God. full of forgiveness, love, and mercy.

James 1:22

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

There is a lot of deceiving spirits out there in the world, don't allow your ears to hear their lies and deceptions.  Jesus warned us, as did Paul, and Peter.

1Peter 4:17

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

We need the whole counsel of God, not just the parts that make us feel good. We need to open our minds to the whole truth of God's word.

God's word is meant to change us to be more and more like Jesus.

Beloved, open your spiritual ears and listen to the Holy Spirit's voice. That's where you will find peace and rest for your soul.

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong.
