Do you want to find happiness? Then be merciful.
God has given us a formula for our happiness.
Matthew 5:7
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall see God.
The Amplified bible says, Happy and to be envied are those who are merciful.
Being merciful is being like your Heavenly Father.
Lamentations 3:22-25
Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, Great is Your faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion, "says my soul, therefore I hope in Him."
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
Mercy is to show compassion and love when it is not deserved, or when another cannot help themselves. ( The Good Samaritan)
None of us deserve God's mercy, we are all sinners saved by God's grace because of His merciful heart.
When we show mercy instead of being judgmental,
we display our Heavenly Father's nature.
2 Corinthians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
It is so easy to judge another, not knowing what they have endured along the way. What took them so far from knowing the forgiveness of God and being unable to experience Jesus' sacrifice and His love and forgiveness?
When we are so quick to judge another, we place ourselves in the judgment seat of God. He alone will judge and deal with all ungodliness.
Meanwhile He extends His mercy through His children on the earth.
Being merciful was the attribute Paul showed the Corinthian church. A man caught in a sexual sin.
2Corinthians 2:6-8
The punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man, so that on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed be swallowed up with too much sorrow.
Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him.
That is a great example of mercy from Paul and the church.
When our mind starts down the negative road of judging and seeing ourselves better or more mature, we need to cast that thought down immediately.
Psalm 89:14
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.
Psalm 100:5
For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations.
Psalms 108: 4
Your mercy is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the clouds.
Beloved, Jesus came to this earth to die in our place, and He rose from the dead, so we can have newness of life on this earth and in eternity with Him in heaven.
Micah 6: 8
He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
We are to love mercy, that will extend God's grace in any situation, as it is to reflect our Father's nature.
Anyone will respond to the mercy of God coming through His children. No matter whatever the sin is in their life, see them as God sees them, needing the savior.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
