Humility or arrogance?

  I was watching Christian tv, and I saw many preachers, preaching salvation.  Some were giving God all the credit, others were pointing to themselves, I heard come on, that's good preaching, some love the applause.  That's ok they have their reward. If they are looking for man's approval, they have it.  

I would rather have God's approval. Wouldn't you?

Humility points to God, arrogance points to self.

Yes it is good preaching whenever it is about Jesus and His kingdom.

Jesus wanting the gospel preached, made the comment to his disciples, do not stop him, for whoever is not against us is for us.

Luke 9:50

Jesus said do not forbid those that are ministering in the name of Jesus, regardless what their motives are. The power of God is being preached, activated in the name of Jesus.

We are to see the work of the Lord being done, not the motive of someone's heart doing the ministry.

I believe Jesus made that clear in Luke 9: 49 -50 and Mark 9:38..

Luke 9 :49-50

Now John answered and said, "Master we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us. But Jesus said to him, " Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us, is on our side.

Mark 9:38

"Jesus said to pray for the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest."

So beloved, don't look at the messenger, listen to the word of God coming from them.  God's word won't return void, regardless who delivers it.

Some are there to encourage us to look to Jesus. Some are there to convict us, some are there to lead us to Jesus. They preach salvation and the power of the Holy Spirit in our life. Healing and wholeness.

No matter how it comes to us, we are to have spiritual ears to hear.

Isaiah 55:11

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to void. But accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

So beloved, be grateful that we can be fed God's word, no matter who it comes through. 

Don't look at the vessel, listen to the words, if they are God's word. Not just a lot of talk of the world.

Wherever God's word is, there the Holy Spirit can move on peoples hearts.

God Bless you as you study God's word, the only thing that can and  will change your thinking. We are to have the mind of Christ, not a critical spirit. Love does not have a critical spirit.

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong.
