ARE YOU WILLING TO TAKE A DETOUR ON YOUR JOURNEY, TO WIN A SOUL TO CHRIST.

 WE ALL HAVE OUR ROUTINES, CERTAIN PLACES THAT WE FREQUENT.  OUR FAVORITE STORE.

BUT ARE WE WILLING TO FORGO OUR REGULAR DESTINATION, AND TAKE A DETOUR?

JESUS DID JUST THAT, WHEN HE WENT INTO SAMARIA. TO REACH SOMEONE LOOKING FOR LOVE IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES.

JOHN 4: 6-10 (READ ALL JOHN 4:1-24)

NOW JACOB'S WELL WAS THERE, JESUS THEREFORE BEING WEARIED FROM HIS JOURNEY, SAT THUS BY THE WELL.  IT WAS ABOUT THE SIXTH HOUR.

A WOMAN OF SAMARIA CAME TO DRAW WATER. JESUS SAID TO HER, "GIVE ME A DRINK."

FOR HIS DISCIPLES HAD GONE AWAY TO THE CITY TO BUY FOOD.

THEN THE WOMAN OF SAMARIA SAID TO HIM. HOW IS IT YOU BEING A JEW, ASK A DRINK FROM ME A SAMARITAN WOMAN?  FOR JEWS HAVE NO DEALINGS WITH SAMARITANS.

JESUS ANSWERED AND SAID TO HER, "IF YOU KNEW THE GIFT OF GOD, AND WHO IT IS WHO SAYS TO YOU "GIVE ME A DRINK, YOU WOULD HAVE ASKED HIM, AND HE WOULD HAVE GIVEN YOU LIVING WATER."

THIS WOMAN WAS SO SURPRISED THAT JEWS WOULD BOTHER WITH HER.  

BUT JESUS ALWAYS WENT TO THOSE WHO WERE DOWN AND OUT. 

SAMARIA WAS MANY MILES FROM JERUSALEM, YET JESUS TOOK A DETOUR TO REACH ONE WOMAN THAT THE JEWS DIDN'T BOTHER WITH.

A WOMAN WHO HAD BEEN MARRIED 5 TIMES, AND WAS LIVING WITH A MAN SHE WAS NOT MARRIED TO.


HOW MANY OF US HAVE EVER THOUGHT OF GOING WAY OUT OF OUR WAY TO MINISTER TO JUST ONE SOUL?

BELOVED, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT JESUS DID.

SOMETIMES GOD PUTS UP BLOCKADES TO MOVE US TO A DETOUR THAT HE HAS PLANNED FOR US.

IT WILL SEEM LIKE A LONGER JOURNEY, BUT IT WILL GET US TO WHERE WE ARE GOING.

THERE WILL BE MANY STOPS ALONG THE WAY, AND SOME BUMPY ROADS, BUT WE WILL EVENTUALLY GET TO OUR DESTINATION THAT GOD HAS PLANNED FOR US.

PSALM 37: 23-24

THE STEPS OF A GOOD MAN ARE ORDERED BY THE LORD, AND HE DELIGHTS IN HIS WAY. 

THOUGH HE FALL, HE SHALL NOT BE UTTERLY CAST DOWN;  FOR THE LORD UPHOLDS HIM WITH HIS HAND.

BELOVED, WHEN GOD SENDS YOU ON A DETOUR, PRAISE HIM, SOMETHING GOOD WILL COME OUT OF IT. ENJOY, WHAT SEEMS TO BE INCONVENIENT,

THERE IS A BLESSING AHEAD.

THE LORD DIRECTS OUR STEPS, IF WE WILL LISTEN TO THE HOLY SPIRITS DIRECTIONS, WE WILL BLESS OTHERS AND OURSELVES.  

IS SUCH A BLESSING TO SEE OTHERS GET SET FREE, OR ENCOURAGED OR RECEIVE JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOR.

LOOK FOR THOSE DETOUR SIGNS IN YOUR LIFE AND DON'T GET FRUSTRATED THAT YOUR PATH HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM WHAT YOU THOUGHT IT TO BE.

BE OBEDIENT AND BLESSED.

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God. Just speaking His name, we inhale YAH and exhale WEH.   YHWH means breath of life. Our Jewish brothers and sisters know the name of God means breath of God. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD!!  YOU ARE NOT TO COMMAND HIM,  YOU ARE TO ASK HIM, HONOR HIM, AND RESPECT HIM AND HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.  I have heard some believers young in their faith and understanding, say that they have prayed for such a thing and God will give it to them. They are trusting in their faith, not their faith in God. (Works of the flesh, which is witchcraft) Witchcraft is attempting to manipulate your environment or circumstances. (SELF) Works of the flesh. Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
