Is your heart set on pleasing God, because when you love someone you want to please them.

When we make an effort to please our Lord, blessings will flow like a river into our life. 

 We please God by feeding on His word. By taking communion, the meal that heals. 
By obeying God's word and walking in what He has prepared for us, and by listening to the Holy Spirit.

 By resting in the Lord, and being at peace with those around us.

 Psalm 23:5-6
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cups runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

 I love the part where our cup runs over, its overflowing with the blessing of God, its not just full, but overflowing!

 Jesus always gives us more than enough, He loves to bless His children.

 Remember Peter and the boat that they used to fish all night and caught nothing. (Luke 5:4-8)

 Jesus told them to let down their nets (plural) because He knew what it would take for the catch, they let down one net, and it was overflowing with fish, so much so, they had to call for help from others to bring in all the fish that they caught.

 That's a perfect picture of what God has for us who love Him, overflowing and abundance, in every area of our life. Everything we will need and then some to share with others.

 Luke 5: 4-6
When Jesus had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net."
And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their nets were breaking.

 Jesus' words were let down your nets, because He knew what He was going to do for them. So one net would not do.

 When God tells you to do something, do you do it halfhearted? or do you obey His exact words? Leaving nothing undone.

 Beloved, we have God's word to direct our steps and to teach us about the Kingdom of God while living on this earth, we are to know what Jesus has provided for us and walk in His boldness and love.

 Set your heart on pleasing the Lord, it has great rewards here and now.

JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us. God's word is a light unto our path.  Psalms 119:104-105 Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
