Are you enjoying the journey of life in Christ Jesus our Lord?
A journey, speaks of traveling from one place to another. Always on the move. We stop to rest and regroup, but moving forward toward our destination.
That is how it is in our Christian life. Heading for our destination, heaven.
We already have our entrance, through the blood of Jesus.
His sacrifice, not by our good deeds, His pain and suffering, paid our way into the presence of the Father. We are accepted in the beloved.
We never stay in one place in our walk in the Lord. We continue to grow and go. Becoming fruitful.
We become more and more like Jesus, each test and trial refines us a little more, we shake off the world's way of doing things, little by little we grow in our faith and become more like our Lord Jesus.
Loving, merciful, giving, and forgiving. There will be less and less fear in our life, because we will recognize it sooner and deal with it appropriately, taking the authority God gave us in Jesus over it, commanding it to go!
Now love can develop in us, we also grow in love. We start with natural love and develop into God's agape love, unconditional love, where there is no fear.
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
We see this example, when Peter out of fear for His life, denied knowing Jesus.
Fear will always cause us to digress, you want to progress, so recognize what it is that is causing you to fear, deal with it as the Lord has told us too. Cast it out.
Beloved, start your New Year without fear, start it full of faith and trust in our Lord.
It is okay to be concerned about a thing, but do not allow your concern to turn into fear. There is a difference.
Fear will paralyze you, and stop you from progressing in Jesus. Remember fear and unbelief are partners.
Use the word of God as your armor, it is the sword of the Spirit. It cuts and heals.
Pray God's word, sing God's word, and feed daily on God's word.
Remember Jesus is the living word, you will be feeding on Him!!
Study the word of God daily and you will grow more and you will become more like Jesus.
Seek God first thing in the morning, start your day with fresh knowledge of God, spend time in worship and prayer, reading His word.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
God doesn't mind you having things, He just wants to be first in your day, and He does not want things to have you. God wants all of you.
Use things, don't love them. Love God!
As you grow in your journey here on earth, you will love God more and more. Keep moving forward.
Get into the Lord's presence.
